🇵🇭 “MAY PANALO BA KUNG TALO LAHAT?” 🇵🇭
Growing up, it was all about “working hard” to make money and to be successful. There were standards set for us that “pre-determined” if we were going to make it in this world. I remember growing up scared thinking that I wouldn’t ever be successful because I was horrible at school.
We need money to live and enjoy the things we want to enjoy, but when we take a closer look at what has been going on the past decades, does any of it really matter? The pursuit for wealth and power is a hell of a drug that even I am guilty of taking.
Will the millions I make buy anything if the world is torn to shreds? Does anything really matter if we continue to destroy all that we build?
It feels like a fever dream lately waking up and seeing people dead on Instagram, and it’s crazy to think we might see it for ourselves soon, too.
Sure, I nerd out about military things and war history and play pretend soldier, but do I really want to see a world that has gone full circle?
While it looks like nothing is going to get better from here, all I can tell myself is that the immediate world around me is all that matters.
Look out for your friends and family, spend time doing things you love, and wake up everyday wanting to do something you love (whether it makes you money or not).
I ask myself everyday:
“If I died tomorrow, would I be happy with what I’ve accomplished today?”
If I can answer yes to that, I can say that this is a life lived to the fullest.
Changing the world isn’t possible as an individual, but if you can change the lives of the people around you, and they can do the same, that’s how it will happen.
It never really is about “winning.”
