Roll with the punches at KM 30.🥊🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️

So far my 12-week marathon plan is on track. We are now entering the taper phase 📉 and will start reducing mileage 2 weeks before Runrio Manila Marathon!

Napaka ilap ng Sub-4 hour marathon finish time sa akin. Ang daming sacrifices for this training timeline. It wont be perfect but I can only hope for the best on race day.🙏🏼

Day 60 (1:53AM)- Exploring the steady state marathon pace. I went above and unable to fine tune my target pace due to rain and elevation profile. We will have a go at it again this weekend.👍🏼

Reflection: Totoo na sa training pa lang ang dami mo na matututunan at pwedeng iimprove. Overall ok naman yung long run pero pagdating ng KM 20 naramdaman ko na unti unti ang fatigue. Hindi dahil sa low mileage, kung hindi sa rolling hills pero pasalamat pa rin at may hills malapit sa area.

Bawas na ang power ko kinalaunan, aminado din ako dito kasi kulang talaga ako sa strength training at kailangan itong pagtuunan ng pansin. Need ko din i-adjust ang electrolyte capsule intake sa mga susunod na long runs.

20 days na lang bago ang Runrio Manila Marathon. Sa mga tatakbo ng 42K sa event na to, pagbutihan po natin ang pag eensayo at mag ingat lalo na at madalas ang ulan.

Fun Fact: Did you know that back in our running era, a term was coined in the local running community for the 10KM distance and it was called “Sub-Piolo”. This means that you have to finish a 10KM race with a time of 47 minutes which is Piolo Pascual PH’s personal best.

Hmmm.. Could this be the year to finally conquer that?🤔
