I was talking with this future partner in SunLife last night and he mentioned na he was working for 5 yrs now and napapaisip sya for his future.
Of course I asked him bakit ?
and he said he is earning 40,000 Php every month, relax lang hindi masyadong stressful ang workload ,maganda ang working environment and marami syang free time
so i told him, “anong problema don ?”
“Hindi kasi ako makaipon ng more than 100k sa isang taon. kaya napapaisip ako if I have to accept the offer of more than what I am earning now. Ang kaso pwde ako ma stress sa workload, may quota, deadlines na hinahabol and walang free time pero bawing bawi ka naman matik may savings ka agad unli travel mapapadali yung goals mo”
Sa totoo lang, this is really an ideal life dilemma ng isang normal na nagtatrabaho. You are bounded to choose between comfort and sacrifice.
And it’s not even something na nabuo lang sa isip ng biglaan.
So here’s the thing, making a decision between a comfortable job with a decent salary and a low-stress environment versus a high-paying job with a demanding workload is a personal choice that depends on your priorities and long-term goals.
and as your Kuya, let me give you 3 considerations that might help you make a decision
✅Quality of Life
Reflect on your personal well-being and happiness. A less stressful job with a good work-life balance can contribute positively to your mental health. But, if the higher-paying job aligns with your career aspirations and brings you fulfillment, it might be worth considering kapatid.
✅Career Growth
Assess the potential for career growth in both scenarios. A higher-paying job may offer more opportunities for advancement and skill development, while the comfortable job might provide stability but limited growth prospects.
✅Financial Stability
Consider your current financial needs and obligations. As an Advisor I would suggest, If you can comfortably manage your expenses and have some savings with the lower-paying job, it might be sufficient for your present lifestyle because technically having more free time means more opportunity to do more of what you enjoy and can possibly earn from that! All you need is spend that free time into a productive time.
The answer to this is very dynamic but regardless of what path ang piliin mo, it is more important to understand that once you've made a decision, 'wag mo ng isipin kung ano ba magiging resulta kung iba ang pinili mo. You'll be distracted eventually.
Ikaw kapatid kung ikaw ang tatanungin, which is better, more free time, or more savings?
