After updating my own CV, I started applying again.

A few days later, I received this email saying I **passed the initial screening** and I'm **moving forward in the hiring process.** 🥹

Honestly, narealize ko ulit na minsan hindi naman kulang ang skills or experiences natin. Minsan, hindi lang talaga nila nakikita ang value natin dahil sa resume.

“Wait… Bakit ba ako naka silent?” 🤣

And the irony?

Ako pa pala yung may ADHD.

Ako pa pala yung taong dapat naka-full volume ang reminders, alarms, at notifications…

ADHD really said, “What if putulin natin lahat ng rebonded hair mo?” 😭✂️

So I did.

I’ve had rebonded hair since Grade 5, so straight hair became the version of me that everyone knew. But deep down, alam ko namang may curls talaga ako. Minsan nga gumising akong parang lion. 😭🤣

In fact, may one time na hindi kumapit nang maayos yung treatment sa likod ng buhok ko. Habang straight lahat, may isang section na naiwan na puro malalaking curls. At honestly? Favorite part ko siya. I used to tie everything else up just so those big swirls could show.

Kaya siguro hindi naman talaga surprise na curly ako ngayon. More like… finally meeting a part of myself that has been there all along.

And before anyone gets the wrong idea, this isn’t me hating on rebonding. Huge thanks to Jhoy for helping me keep my hair healthy, neat, and beautiful through the years. ❤️

This is just me embracing a new chapter and giving my natural hair a chance.

To anyone who’s been forcing their hair to be something else because you think that’s what’s prettier, baka your natural hair is beautiful too. Baka hindi siya kailangan “ayusin.” Baka kailangan lang niya ng tamang routine, tamang products, at konting research para malaman mo kung ano talaga ang kailangan niya.

This is only Day 3 for me. 😅 I know hindi dapat everyday ang wash day kasi nakakadry, pero sa init ng Pilipinas, feeling ko mauuna pa akong matunaw bago ang buhok ko. 😂

My curls are still finding their direction in life, and honestly, same. But we’re figuring it out together. 🫶✨
