There was Kalaw.

Sitting outside agencies for hours.

A backpack full of documents.

A folder full of certificates.

A wallet trying its best to survive.

And for many seafarers...

SkyFlakes at mineral water ang naging lunch, merienda, at minsan dinner na rin.

Funny looking back now, but those days taught us something important:

If you survived the waiting, the rejections, the long lines, the endless requirements, and the uncertainty of not knowing when your next opportunity would come...

You can survive whatever challenge is in front of you today.

Kalaw wasn't just a street.

For many seafarers, it was the first test.

Every rejected application.
Every failed interview.
Every day you questioned yourself.

Now you realize it was preparation.

To every seafarer still carrying documents, still waiting for a callback, still fighting through uncertainty:
