Blessed Peacemakers
Matthew 5:9
"God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God."

Peace does not happen by accident. Jesus says that those who work for peace are blessed. A peacemaker is not someone who ignores problems or avoids conflict. Instead, a peacemaker seeks reconciliation, chooses kindness over anger, forgiveness over bitterness, and understanding over division.
In a world filled with arguments, misunderstandings, and broken relationships, God calls His children to be instruments of His peace. When we choose to respond with grace, speak words that heal, and help restore relationships, we reflect the character of our Heavenly Father.
Today, ask yourself: Am I bringing peace wherever I go? Whether at home, school, work, or ministry, may your actions point others to the Prince of Peace—Jesus Christ.

Prayer:
Lord, make me a peacemaker. Help me to reflect Your love, forgive others quickly, and bring peace wherever You place me. May my life reveal that I am Your child. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Light Up Saturday

The Story of Hagar
Today, the children learned about Hagar, Abraham, and God's faithfulness (Genesis 16 & 21).

Through Hagar's story, the kids discovered that even when we feel forgotten, alone, or rejected, God sees us and cares for us. Just as God provided for Hagar and her son Ishmael in the wilderness, He also provides for our needs and never abandons us.

✨ Lesson: God sees you, loves you, and is always with you—even in difficult times.

📖 Matthew 5:7

Mercy is one of the most beautiful reflections of God's heart. It is choosing kindness when it is easier to be harsh, offering forgiveness when we have been hurt, and showing compassion even when others may not deserve it.

Every day, God extends His mercy to us. He forgives our failures, carries us through our struggles, and loves us despite our imperfections. Because we have received such great mercy from Him, we are called to extend that same mercy to others.

Being merciful does not mean ignoring wrongs; it means responding with grace, understanding, and a heart that desires restoration rather than revenge. In a world that often chooses judgment, let us choose compassion.

"Hungering for What Is Right"

Matthew 5:6 NLT
"God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied."

In our daily lives, we often hunger for many things—success, recognition, comfort, or material blessings. Yet Jesus teaches that true blessing belongs to those who passionately desire what is right in God's eyes. To hunger and thirst for justice means to long for God's righteousness to fill our hearts, guide our actions, and transform our world.

Just as our bodies cannot survive without food and water, our souls cannot thrive without a deep desire for God. When we seek Him above everything else, He promises that our deepest spiritual needs will be satisfied. His presence brings peace, purpose, and fulfillment that nothing else can offer.
Today, ask yourself: What am I truly hungry for? May your greatest desire be to know God, follow His ways, and reflect His love to others.

Prayer:
Lord, create in me a hunger and thirst for Your righteousness. Help me seek You above all else and trust that You alone can satisfy my soul. Amen.

In a world that often values power, recognition, and being first, Jesus reminds us of a different kind of strength—the strength found in humility. Being meek does not mean being weak. It means choosing gentleness, patience, and surrendering our lives to God's will even when we have every reason to insist on our own.

True greatness is not measured by how much power we have, but by how much we reflect the heart of Christ. A humble heart trusts God's timing, God's plans, and God's promises. It serves others with love and remains faithful even when no one is watching.

Ang Kaaliwan ng Diyos

Mateo 5:4
"Pinagpala ang mga nagdadalamhati, sapagkat aaliwin sila ng Diyos."

Ang pagdadalamhati ay bahagi ng buhay. May mga pagkakataong nasasaktan tayo, nawawalan, o dumaraan sa mabibigat na pagsubok. Ngunit ipinapaalala ni Jesus na ang mga nagdadalamhati ay pinagpala, hindi dahil sa kanilang sakit, kundi dahil hindi sila iiwan ng Diyos sa gitna nito.

Kapag ang ating puso ay sugatan, ang Diyos ang ating Kanlungan at Kaaliwan. Nauunawaan Niya ang ating mga luha at alam Niya ang bawat kirot na ating dinadala. Ang Kanyang presensya ay nagbibigay ng kapayapaan, lakas, at pag-asa na hindi kayang ibigay ng mundo.

Kung ikaw ay dumaraan sa panahon ng kalungkutan, huwag mawalan ng pag-asa. Ang Diyos ay malapit sa iyo, at sa tamang panahon ay papalitan Niya ang iyong pagluha ng kagalakan.

Panalangin:
Panginoon, salamat sapagkat Ikaw ang aking Kaaliwan sa panahon ng kalungkutan. Tulungan Mo akong magtiwala sa Iyong pag-ibig at presensya araw-araw. Amen.

Jesus teaches that God blesses those who are “poor in spirit”—those who humbly recognize their need for Him. This is not about financial poverty, but a heart that depends fully on God.

When we admit we cannot do life on our own, we make room for God’s grace to work in us. The good news is this: the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who trust Him completely.

God is closest to the humble heart that says, “Lord, I need You every day.”
