On the morning of May 20, 2026, a seminar hosted by the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries students for FSH198 (Research Design and Methodologies) and FIS125 (Aquaculture), under the guidance of their instructor Ms. Khadiza H. Imlan, MSc., was held at the AVR of the College of Fisheries, Mindanao State Universityโ€“Sulu. During the event, four groups of students confidently presented their studies and findings through oral presentations, while three groups participated in the poster presentation.

A panel composed of four oral presentation judges, three poster presentation judges, and one chairman of judges carefully listened to, evaluated, and scored each groupโ€™s work. After every presentation, a question-and-answer session was conducted where the judges asked about the studentsโ€™ findings and research methods. They also identified minor errors and provided guidance on how proper research should be conducted.

The morning session concluded with the final activity, during which the judges evaluated the presentations and provided feedback.

โ€ŽThe event featured the presentation of the Accomplishment Reports of the different organizations through audio visual presentations. Each organization presented its achievements, activities, and contributions to the school community throughout the academic year 2025โ€“2026. The presentations reflected the dedication, leadership, and teamwork of the student organizations in carrying out meaningful programs, activities, and initiatives.

โ€ŽFollowing the presentations was the College Emblem segment, where participating colleges proudly presented their emblems representing their identity and character.

โ€ŽOne of the most anticipated highlights of the event was the Recycled Fashion Show. Students confidently walked wearing fashionable outfits made from recycled and reusable material.

โ€ŽOur candidate, ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐€๐ฅ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐’. ๐’๐š๐ซ๐š๐ฃ๐š๐ง delivered an outstanding performance during the Recycled Fashion Show. With confidence and creativity, he showcased unique outfits made from recycled and reusable materials that perfectly reflected the theme of the event. Because of his impressive presentation and meaningful interpretation, our candidates were recognized as the ๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐“๐ก๐ž๐ฆ๐ž ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, bringing pride and honor to Department of College of Fisheries.

On April 29, 2026, students from the Zoology, Aquaculture, and Oceanography programs brought imagination to life through a captivating art exhibit. Showcasing themes of different phyla, culture systems, and oceans, participants from 1st and 2nd Year (Sections G & F) highlighted the beauty of biodiversity, the interconnectedness of organisms, and the importance of aquatic conservation.

Mindanao State University - Sulu (MSU-Sulu) formally partnered with the Western Mindanao Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (WESMAARDEC) yesterday, April 23, 2026.

The event was held at the Human Development Center MSU - Sulu campus, featured a Constitution and By-Laws Orientation and the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

This collaboration brings WESMAARDEC together with the College of Agriculture, alongside other colleges, to strengthen research and development in agriculture, aquatic resources, and natural resources. Deans, faculty members, and research coordinators of different colleges were present to support the initiative.
