In this Performance Task, we explored how meaning changes through five technical codes in photography: Bird’s Eye View, Worm’s Eye View, Selective Focus, Wide Shot, and Extreme Wide Shot. Each shot shows that perspective is not just about what we see, but how we choose to see it.
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” — Marcel Proust
This task helped us understand how camera angles and focus guide attention, emotion, and interpretation in media.

𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲

This activity enhanced our understanding of how camera shots and angles shape the way messages and stories are communicated in Media and Information Literacy. It showed us how proper framing, focus, and perspective can influence audience interpretation, emotions, and engagement. Through this, we learned that proper technical codes play an important role in delivering information effectively and meaningfully.
