CITE hold General Assembly 2026
The College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE) conducted its General Assembly 2026 today, bringing together Information Technology (IT) and Computer Engineering (CpE) students, faculty members, and college administrators to formally open the academic year through a series of orientations and institutional discussions.
β
βThe assembly served as an avenue to orient students on the college's academic expectations, institutional policies, student services, and opportunities that will guide them throughout the Academic Year.
β
βEngr. Myke Albert M. Tejada, CITE OIC-Dean, led the opening of the program, sharing the college's vision and commitment to produce competent, innovative, and globally competitive professionals.
β
βStudents also received orientation on the college's policies and guidelines, research initiatives, community extension programs, student conduct, and laboratory rules.
β
βAccording to James Daquiuag, a first-year IT student, shared that one of the highlights of the General Assembly was learning about CITE's partnership with Huawei, which inspired him to become more dedicated to his studies.
β
β
βChristian Narag, a first-year CpE student, shared that being nominated during the ICpEP.se election was both unexpected and motivating, despite the pressure he initially felt.
β
β
βThe first part of the program concluded with closing remarks, followed by the separate elections of student organizations, with Information Technology students electing the new officers of the Junior Philippine Computer Society (JPCS) and Computer Engineering students electing the new officers of the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines Student Edition (ICpEP.se).
