CORON MPS RESPONDS IMMEDIATELY TO SHOOTING INCIDENT IN BRGY. SAN JOSE, MANHUNT OPERATIONS ONGOING
Coron MPS responded immediately and conducted manhunt operations after a shooting incident resulted in the death of a 64-year-old male in Brgy. San Jose, Coron, Palawan, on June 5, 2026, at 1:30 PM.
Initial report revealed that the victim, identified as โalias Tinoyโ, married, resident of Brgy. Decalachao, Coron, Palawan, went to Brgy. San Jose at 1:15 PM to buy fish. As he was about to return, an unidentified suspect armed with a pistol suddenly appeared and shot the victim, causing his instantaneous death.
Upon receipt of a call from a concerned citizen at 1:30 PM, Coron MPS personnel led by PCPT MARK RJ P SIGUE, Officer-in-Charge, immediately proceeded to the area to verify the information and conduct investigation.
Follow-up investigation and intelligence-driven operations are now ongoing to identify and arrest the suspect/s who remain at large.
PCOL JOEL D. CASUPANAN, Provincial Director, assured the family of the victim and the public that Palawan PPO will exert all efforts to bring the suspect/s to justice.
