In line with the celebration of the 2𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙖𝙣 𝘿𝙖𝙮, here are the 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 that we should all look forward to:

1. 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙞 𝘿𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙬𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙚 – Experience the energy and color as elementary, high school, and community groups take the streets with lively dances that proudly celebrate Blaan heritage!

2. 𝙈𝙠𝙖𝙨 𝙇𝙖𝙬𝙞𝙜 (𝙆𝙪𝙗𝙤 𝙀𝙭𝙝𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙩) – Be amazed as each IP Barangay builds traditional kubo masterpieces, complete with displays of traditional Blaan/Tagakaulo clothing, accessories, and food.

3. 𝙆𝙖𝙛𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙪𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙣𝙖 𝘽𝙖𝙞 2025 – Cheer for the candidates representing each IP barangays, all proud and bonafide Blaan/Tagakaulo members of the ICCs-IP communities.

In line with the upcoming 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 on September 6, 2025, the Office of the Municipal Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) is calling all Indigenous Peoples (IP) youth in Polomolok who successfully passed any licensure board examination from 𝙎𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 2024 𝙩𝙤 𝙅𝙪𝙡𝙮 2025.

Kindly submit your full name along with a graduation or any formal photo to the IPMR Office or send it via the email address [email protected].

This is in preparation for the 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙄𝙋 𝘼𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨, one of the highlight activities of the 2nd Blaan Day celebration — a moment to honor the hard work and success of our IP Youth in different academic fields!

As the celebration draws near, preparations are in full swing! Our team is busy finalizing the activities for the upcoming 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!

𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

Following the issuance of a summons by the Municipal Tribal Council, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙚 𝙃𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙙𝙤 𝘽𝙖𝙟𝙖𝙧 voluntarily appeared before the Council to address a social media comment deemed offensive and discriminatory toward the Blaan community.

The matter was resolved through customary and restorative practices rooted in mutual understanding, respect, and healing. We commend the Municipal Tribal Council for its leadership in facilitating the reconciliation process and reaffirm our commitment to promoting unity and cultural sensitivity across all sectors of our community.

Let this be a reminder that words hold power—and that respect remains the cornerstone of our collective progress.

As the 20th Sangguniang Bayan officially begins its term, the Local Government of Polomolok reaffirms its commitment to inclusive representation and people-centered governance.

Hon. Jerome Y. Ante, our Municipal Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR), continues to serve as the 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘼𝙛𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙨 — a role to strengthening cultural preservation and empowering our IP communities.
