𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞: 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Local Government Unit of Polomolok proudly joined in the 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, a momentous occasion that highlighted the rich culture, heritage, and contributions of our Blaan brothers and sisters to the growth and identity of our municipality.

The event was graced by the presence of our esteemed Barangay Captains, Department Heads, NCIP personnel, City IPMR, Provincial Representatives, and Municipal Councilors led by Municipal Vice Mayor 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗼-𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼𝘀. Also, present was our Local Chief Executive, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗗. 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮, who expressed his heartfelt support and recognition of the Blaan community.

We were further honored by the presence of 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, Regional Director of NCIP XII, who delivered an inspiring keynote message highlighting the importance of inclusivity, cultural preservation, and the empowerment of Indigenous Peoples.

This celebration served not only as a tribute to the vibrant traditions and history of the Blaan community but also as a reminder of our collective responsibility to uphold respect, unity, and cultural pride. Truly, the 2nd Blaan Day was a meaningful gathering that strengthened our bond as one diverse yet united Polomolok.

One of the most captivating features of this year's celebration was the 𝙈𝙠𝙖𝙨 𝙇𝙖𝙬𝙞𝙜 𝙀𝙭𝙝𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙩 (Traditional Kubo Exhibit), where visitors were immersed in the rich traditions of the Blaan people.

Each Lawig (kubo) proudly showcased authentic Blaan cuisine, delicacies, and handcrafted accessories — offering a genuine taste and experience of Blaan culture.

These shared moments reflect not just celebration, but the deep-rooted identity and unity of the Blaan community.

Today, we honor and celebrate the life of our Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR), Hon. Jerome Y. Ante — the strong voice of the IP community in Polomolok.
