General Santos Academy celebrated Buwan ng Wika on August 29, 2025, with the theme “Paglinang ng Filipino at Katutubong Wika; Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.”

It was a fun and memorable day for everyone. Students showcased their talents through different presentations and activities while proudly representing their grade levels.

The event brought friendship and teamwork, while also honoring the Filipino language and native dialects as symbols of unity. It was not just a celebration of being Filipino but also a way to remember our history and the importance of keeping our languages alive.

GSAI Drum and Lyre Corps Makes Debut at F’lomolok Festival 2025

Polomolok, South Cotabato – The General Santos Academy Inc. (GSAI) Drum and Lyre Corps marked a significant milestone on August 21, 2025, with their first public appearance at the Opening Parade of the F’lomolok Festival. The event, held in Polomolok, South Cotabato, showcased the corps’ talent and dedication to the wider community.

The GSAI Drum and Lyre Corps, known for its commitment to musical excellence and disciplined performance, captivated festival-goers with their vibrant and energetic performance. This appearance marked the culmination of months of rigorous training and preparation.

“Mechaila Meneses,” said Basic Education Coordinator. “This is a proud moment for our students and the school. It's an opportunity to share their hard work and talent with the community.”

Comprising students from various grade levels, the corps marched with precision and played a mix of traditional and contemporary tunes that resonated with the audience. The synchronized movements and musicality displayed by the students underscored the values of teamwork and discipline instilled within the group.
