Life has been challenging lately. I lost my job and I’ve been going through personal struggles that have taken a lot out of me emotionally and mentally. My faith in Christ is still strong, but I’ve realized I need to step back from some responsibilities, including music ministry, to take care of myself and seek clarity. I’m grateful for the people I’ve served with and for the lessons I’ve learned along the way. Trusting God for the next step.

Fueling my day with good coffee and God’s Word sets my direction. Coffee helps me focus, but God’s Word reminds me why my work matters. It shapes my attitude, my effort, and how I treat people throughout the day.

“Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people.”
Colossians 3:23 CSB

Faith is choosing to trust God even when many of our prayers remain unanswered. It means believing that His goodness is not measured by what we receive now, but by who He is and what He has promised. We may not see our wishes fulfilled in this lifetime, but we hold on because our hope is bigger than the present. We believe that God is preparing something eternal, a life that goes beyond temporary struggles and unmet desires. That assurance gives us strength to keep trusting, waiting, and following Him.

Our Father in heaven,

Thank You for allowing me to step into 2026. I place my life, my plans, and my heart in Your hands. Thank You for Your faithfulness in the past and for the grace You give me each day.

Lead me throughout this year. Help me trust Your timing, listen to Your voice, and obey You even when I do not understand. Strengthen my faith, guard my heart, and give me peace knowing You are always with me.

Let this year draw me closer to You and teach me to depend on You more. Whatever comes, I choose to trust You and give You all the glory.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Bible Reading and Devotional
December 17,2025

Message Verse:

Psalm 37:5
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.

Reflection:

This speaks to the daily struggle of wanting control. Many times, I plan, decide, and move ahead without fully bringing things to God. Committing my way to the Lord means I allow Him to lead, even when I do not clearly see the outcome. Trust is not about having all the answers. It is about choosing to believe that God is working, even in silence.

Lesson:

Each day, I can practice surrender in small ways. I can pray before acting, listen before reacting, and trust God with results I cannot control. When I place my plans in His hands, I learn peace, patience, and deeper faith.

Bible Reading & Devotional

Psalm 127: 1-5

Reflection:

This reading makes it clear that anything we build only has real value when God is the one leading it. A new church location is not about the building. It is about His presence establishing the work. It also reminds you to rest in Him instead of forcing things through your own effort. What He authors, He sustains.

My key Take away:

Serve with the mindset that your voice, your skill, and your ministry only carry power when the Lord is the one shaping it. Let Him be the builder of every song you offer. When you depend on Him, your worship becomes less about performing and more about creating a place where God can move freely.

BIBLE READING & DEVOTIONAL

BIBLE READING : John 1:33-34.

Message:

32Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. 33And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ 34I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.”

Reflection:

I may not have seen the Same spirit the have comedown to show that it was Jesus who is the Messiah. But what I see now is without the spirit I know and I believe by faith That it is indeed Jesus Christ our lord is the only way to salvation. As he was chosen, I too accept my faith as the chosen son of God. That I may continue to better my understanding that I before the lord have been baptized by the Holy spirit.
