Tacurong City welcomes home Miss Cosmo Philippines 2025 Chelsea Fernandez
May 8, 2025 – Chelsea Lovely Cabias Fernandez, the newly crowned Miss Cosmo Philippines 2025 and Top 6 finalist in Miss Universe Philippines 2025, returned to her hometown of Tacurong City to a jubilant homecoming celebration. The event honored her achievements and her role in bringing pride to Sultan Kudarat on the national stage.
The festivities commenced at the City Hall Lobby, where Fernandez was warmly welcomed by City Mayor Joseph George L. Lechonsito, MD, DPA, along with local government officials, employees, and enthusiastic supporters. Radiant with pride, Fernandez expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support of her fellow Tacurongnons.
Following the courtesy call, a grand float parade traversed the city's main thoroughfares, allowing residents to catch a glimpse of their hometown queen. The parade culminated at the Tacurong City open field, where she was welcomed with a vibrant cultural drum performance.
Fernandez's journey in pageantry is marked by numerous accolades, including titles such as Reyna ng Aliwan Fiesta 2018, Miss Philippines Earth-Water 2019, Miss Bikini Philippines 2020, and Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2022. Her recent appointment as Miss Cosmo Philippines 2025 positions her to represent the country in the upcoming Miss Cosmo pageant in Vietnam.
Following the event in Tacurong, Fernandez proceeded to the Provincial Capitol in Isulan to continue her courtesy visits and express her appreciation to the broader Sultan Kudarat community.
