Fr. Philip Jerold Tan, who centered his homily on following Godโ€™s will, trusting in Jesus, and evaluating how we pray.

Fr. Tan emphasized that prayer is more than asking โ€” it is listening, trusting, and aligning our hearts with Godโ€™s plan. He urged everyone to reflect on the sincerity of their prayers and to deepen their trust in Jesus, who leads with purpose and love. The celebration brought families and the faithful together in prayer and unity under the guidance of the Blessed Mother.

The celebration occurred at the university grounds and was presided over by Rev. Fr. Manuel Deems G. Aston.

Centered on the theme โ€œInang Maria: Pag-asa ng Pamilyang Naglalakbay sa Diwa ng Sinodalidad,โ€ Fr. Astonโ€™s homily drew inspiration from the Gospel of St. Luke 10:25โ€“37, the parable of the Good Samaritan. He reminded the faithful that living out genuine compassion and love for others is at the heart of Christian life.

Fr. Aston also emphasized the significance of prayer, stressing that the Holy Rosary is a very powerful weapon against challenges, temptations, and struggles of everyday life. Through it, he said, families can find strength, peace, and unity as they continue their journey in faith.

The Novena Mass concluded with hearts full of gratitude and renewed hope by the loving intercession of the Blessed Mother.

The celebration occurred at the university grounds and was presided over by Rev. Fr. Eugene Elivera.

Centered on the theme โ€œInang Maria: Pag-asa ng Pamilyang Naglalakbay sa Diwa ng Sinodalidad,โ€ Fr. Elivera's homily focused on three key elements: the teacher, hope, and togetherness. This, along with the Teacher's Day celebration, emphasized how Mary teaches Jesus humility and kindness by offering hope and fostering unity among all. This example inspires families to journey together in faith, embodying the spirit of synodality.

The Novena Masses will continue leading to the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of La Naval.

The celebration took place at the university grounds and was presided over by Rev. Fr. Raymond Rodriguez.

Centered on the theme โ€œInang Maria: Pag-asa ng Pamilyang Naglalakbay sa Diwa ng Sinodalidad.โ€ Fr. Rodriguez centered his homily on three key points: the importance of praying the Rosary as a family, being open to the guidance of guardian angels, and journeying together in hope and protection. He explained synodality as walking together in love, listening, and accompanimentโ€”a concept often emphasized by the late Pope Francis.

The Novena Masses will continue leading up to the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of La Naval.

IN PHOTOS | On October 1, 2025, Holy Trinity University observed the fourth day of the Nine-Day Novena Masses in honor of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of La Naval, as part of the 37th Family Rosary Crusade. The Mass was held at the university grounds and presided over by Rev. Fr. Edmond Herher.

Guided by the theme โ€œInang Maria: Pag-asa ng Pamilyang Naglalakbay sa Diwa ng Sinodalidad,โ€ Fr. Edmond invited the faithful to reflect on the question, โ€œHow can eternal life be attained?โ€ He reminded everyone that true success in life is not measured by earthly standards but by reaching heaven. In which we must embrace the childlike virtues of humility, trust, and love. These were lived out by both the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Thรฉrรจse, whose feast is also celebrated today. Their examples remind us that holiness is found in small acts done by great love.
