A Prayer for Luzon Amid the Approaching Super Typhoon UWAN (Signal No. 5)
Lord God Almighty,
We call upon Your protection as our nation stands in the path of Super Typhoon UWAN, forecasted to reach Signal Number 5, one of the most powerful storms to strike the Philippines this year.
You are our shield in danger and our refuge in every storm.
We entrust to You the people of Luzon families, children, elders, and every community from the mountains to the coastline.
Place Your mighty hand over every home and shelter.
Lord, we ask that You weaken the force of this typhoon.
Calm its winds, lessen its rain, and spare our land from devastation.
Grant wisdom and clarity to our authorities, responders, and all who lead the preparations.
Guide every household to act with discipline, unity, and readiness.
Let cooperation rise above fear, and compassion rise above panic.
Hold us together.
Strengthen our hearts with courage and faith.
Remind us that no storm is stronger than Your power, and no darkness can drown out Your light.
Lord, preserve lives.
Guard our land and the people we love.
And when the storm has passed, lead us toward recovery, relief, and renewed hope.
We trust in You completely.
