Today, April 20, we commemorate the 152nd birth anniversary of General Servillano Aquino (1874–1959).

While many know the Aquino name through modern politics, it all began with the courage of this Kapampangan revolutionary. Born in Angeles, Pampanga, "Mabalasik" (the fierce one) dedicated his life to the dream of a free Philippines.

Why his legacy matters:
⚔️ A True Patriot: He fought against Spanish colonial rule and later stood his ground during the Philippine-American War.

📜 Exile & Return: He was among the leaders who joined Emilio Aguinaldo in exile in Hong Kong following the Pact of Biak-na-Bato.

🌳 A Political Patriarch: He is the grandfather of Ninoy Aquino and the great-grandfather of PNoy, marking the start of a lineage that would shape Philippine history for over a century.
