PRAYER FOR STRENGTH AND PERSEVERANCE IN TIMES OF TYPHOON

Heavenly Father, in the midst of strong winds and heavy rains, we turn to You as our refuge and strength.

Calm our fears, O Lord, and give us courage to endure this trial.

Protect our families, our homes, and all who are in the path of danger.

Grant us perseverance in these difficult hours—that we may not lose hope, but instead trust in Your loving providence.

May we find strength in helping one another, and may compassion triumph over fear.

Lord, just as You calmed the storm on the sea, calm the storms within our hearts.

Keep us safe beneath Your sheltering hand, and guide us to rise again with faith renewed.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Whatever our achievement is and will be, the same principle from John the Baptist comparing himself to our Lord must continue: "He must increase, I must decrease." Salamat gyud kaayo Lord ha! 🥲

For our Tagalog-speaking sisters and brothers, here is the translation of the Bisaya reflection I posted today. 😊

The point here is: It was the arrogance of Herod that prevented him from truly listening to Jesus and change his life.

How about you and me? Meron din kasi tayong mga arrogance diba?

This is our reflection on the gospel today, Thursday of the 25th Week in Ordinary Time.

What is that "important thing" that God wants you to focus on right now? Are there any distractions?

We hope, your focus to your "mission" is and will always be 100%. 🎯

This is our reflection on the gospel today, Wednesday of the 25th Week in Ordinary Time.

Gitagaan ta ni Lord og usa ka "importanteng butang" nga atong tagaan og 100% focus. Ang pangutana: Naa bay naka-distract sa imong focus?

I feel blessed to have touched the RELIC of SAINT CARLO ACUTIS at the chapel of Ateneo de Manila Grade School a while ago!

• PRAYER THROUGH THE INTERCESSION OF SAINT CARLO ACUTIS

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of Saint Carlo Acutis who showed us that holiness can be lived even in our youth and in ordinary life. Through his love for the Eucharist and his devotion to You, may we learn to place You at the center of everything we do.

Saint Carlo, friend of the young and lover of Christ,
intercede for us that we may grow in faith, purity, and charity. Teach us to use the gifts of technology and knowledge not for selfish gain but to spread God’s love and truth.

May your example inspire us to live simply, to serve joyfully, and to walk each day closer to Jesus. Pray for us that we too may one day share in eternal life with Him.

Amen.

PRAYER OF THE DAY
(based on today's gospel)

Let us pray:

Lord Jesus, You send me out with nothing but trust in Your power and love. As the twelve apostles were sent to heal, I pray today that I may carry Your healing presence to those who are lonely, hurting, discouraged.

Give me courage to speak Your Good News. Free me from fear. Free me from the need to rely on myself. Give me a heart open to receive Your grace.

When I am rejected or neglected, remind me that Your mission matters more than my comfort.

Let every step today be guided by You, that Your Kingdom may break forth in small, unexpected ways.

Amen.
