Have you ever had days when you wake up unmotivated? I do. A lot.
I remember working corporate. I had to show up no matter what I’m feeling. Hell, I even had to show up when I’m sick. What’s my reason for not showing up for my business? 🤷

I dreaded going to work, so I thought of something else to look forward to—my friends at work, or what I’m going to eat at lunch.

The thing about motivation is, it’s not always there. We have to make it ourselves. That’s why it’s important to be clear on our vision, mission & our purpose. If money was the motivation, I'd be back to the rat race. I wanted more than that. I want something of my own, where I can grow as an individual & help others do that in their business, too. 💃

Building hype around your launch is important to get sales, but it has a more important purpose. 👇

And that is to give your first time clients a taste of what you offer so they would choose you over and over again. 💃🏾

You can achieve that by making sure you avoid these mistakes while your planning your launch:

❌ Not knowing who your target market is. I’ve said this before & I’ll say it again… Not everyone is your market. Being clear on WHO you serve makes it easier for you to communicate & build connection.

❌ Not being clear about what problem you are solving for them. You can formulate the best skin care formula, have the most advanced equipment, but your ideal clients don’t care about that. They care whether you’ll be able to cure their acne & give them back their confidence.

❌ No brand values to adhere to. Without these, it’s easy to get tempted to follow trends & practices that may damage your brand image. Your ideal audience are people with values & feelings. The best way to connect with them is by showing them that you stand up for what you believe in.

❌ Being unsure of your unique value proposition. Why should they choose you? What makes you different from other brands in your market? This can be easily answered if you have a deep understanding of your target market & the problem you solve for them.

❌Inconsistent Brand Identity. Humans are visual creatures. Present consistent Brand Visuals (logos, color palette, icons, images) that they can associate with your brand. This will make it so much easier for them to recognize & remember you.


The goal of your launch should not only to get sold out on the first few weeks. It should be to build a lasting impression that will make them want to come back for more. ❤️

When was the last time you bought something online? 🤔
How many shops sell the same thing? What made you decide to purchase from that particular shop? Did you choose the cheapest you could find?

Because personally, I don't. I only click on listings that look well put together. Then I read the reviews. That's when I feel assured that I'm not going to regret my purchase. 🤷🏽
Will you ever read the reviews and the copy if the listing's cover image looked all over the place? If it didn't have the information you're looking for? I don't think so.
So often we think that design is just vanity without realizing it greatly influences our ideal clients' purchasing decision. 💃🏾
