In Spanish, a tiny difference in the R sound changes the meaning.

For example:
***Perro = dog; pronounced as /ˈperro/ (rolled R)
***Pero = but; pronounced as /ˈpeɾo/ (soft R)

Tip: The rolled R vibrates your tongue, while the soft R is just a light tap.

The Spanish alphabet, or abecedario, traditionally had 29 letters, but in 2010, the RAE officially removed “ch” and “ll” as separate letters, reducing it to 27 letters.

In Spanish, we use “lo que” for ideas (“what I want”) and “el/la que” for people or things (“the one who…”).

Example: Lo que me hace feliz es ver a los que amo felices.

This translate to: What makes me happy is seeing the ones I love happy.
