We are proud to share this great news!

Recently, our filmmakers received the The International Emerging Film Talent Association (IEFTA) Award during the Dhaka Doclab. The award is given to filmmakers from the emerging regions with promising stories. The prize aligns with IEFTA's broader mission to promote cultural diversity and global storytelling through film.

The IEFTA is a non-profit organization dedicated to discovering and fostering emerging film talent from around the world, providing mentorship, resources, and opportunities for filmmakers to develop their craft and gain exposure in the international film industry.

About the film:

Nanay (2023) dir. JV Sangalang and Kristine Camille Sulit
Separated by poverty, Nanay Linda’s long-lost sister makes a return with a fateful phone call. She must then contend with survival, motherly instincts, conflicting emotions, and the trappings of the digital age all in one ordinary morning.

"FULL CIRCLE LAB PHILIPPINES 2024 UNVEILS OFFICIAL PROJECTS AND PARTICIPANTS. The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and Tatino Films present the official projects and participants for Full Circle Lab Philippines’ 6th edition, which will take place from March 18-24, 2024 in Clark, Pampanga.

They will be mentored by global industry experts through intensive film labs and consultations along with a series of online follow-up sessions.

Get to know more about our filmmaker, Josh Lomahan🎬
Josh Lomahan is an up-and-coming independent filmmaker based in the Philippines. His journey in the world of filmmaking has been driven by a passion for the craft of visual storytelling through cinematography and editing and a desire to contribute to film pedagogy as a film and multimedia educator for 6 years in one of the country's premiere digital arts school, CIIT College of Arts and Technology.
Recently, his documentary on family caregivers for Alzheimer's Disease patients was selected as one of the top 10 projects for the Sabah Pitching Training during the 14th Kota Kinabalu International Film Festival in Malaysia. He was also part of the Filipino film delegates during the recent Platform Busan 2023 held in the 28th Busan International Film Festival in Busan, South Korea.
