"In the Shadow of War"

In desert winds and midnight cries,
Two nations watch the darkened skies.
A spark ignites, the silence breaks,
As fear and fury both awake.

Steel birds soar with deadly flame,
But none will leave this war the same.
The innocent, with tearful eyes,
Ask why the world must bleed with lies.

In Tehran’s streets and Tel Aviv,
Mothers mourn and children grieve.
Not faith nor flag can justify
The price when countless loved ones die.

Old wounds reopen, old hate grows,
While hope retreats where no one knows.
But buried deep in every land,
Are dreams of peace held in the hand.

May one day dawn with no more fire,
No sirens, bombs, or funeral pyres.
When hearts will lead and guns will cease—
And war gives way to human peace.

**Panic Attack**

It creeps in quiet, unannounced,
No knock, no call, no sound pronounced.
A breath goes shallow, chest feels tight,
A sudden storm in clear daylight.

The heart becomes a frantic drum,
While thoughts dissolve and senses numb.
Hands shake like leaves in rushing air,
Trapped in a place that's barely there.

The world distorts — too loud, too near,
Each moment thick with unseen fear.
A silent scream beneath the skin,
A battle no one sees within.

You clutch the now, you search for ground,
But rea*on’s lost, no calm is found.
You count, you breathe, you close your eyes,
As minutes pass like endless skies.

And then — a hush. The storm lets go,
Its exit just as soft and slow.
You’re left in stillness, pale and spent,
A soul unsure where safety went.

But still you rise, though shaken sore,
Each time you face it, you endure.
For though the fear may come again,
You’ve met the dark and stood through pain.

She rises with the quiet sun,
Before the world has yet begun,
A whisper in the morning light—
A steady hand, a soul so bright.

No clock records the hours she gives,
No ledger tracks the life she lives,
Yet in her arms, a world is grown,
With strength that’s soft, and love well-sown.

She moves through storms without a sound,
With weary feet that grace the ground,
Her burdens held behind her eyes,
Her dreams tucked deep, yet still they rise.

She mends the tears, she calms the fight,
She makes the darkness yield to light,
And though she gives and asks no pay,
Her kindness builds each sacred day.

Unseen, perhaps, her daily grace,
But heaven lives behind her face.
For in her care, the roots run deep—
The kind of love we do not keep,
But carry forward, strong and true—
Because she gave the best she knew.

So here’s to her, both fierce and mild,
The endless heart, the gentle guide,
A mother’s love—the quiet art
Of giving all, and holding hearts.

I brush my hair, not for their eyes,

I glow for me, I stand up tall,
I rise each time I start to fall.

This mirror holds my truest friend,
