Types of Prayer
Adoration:Prayer that expresses praise and worship of God for who He is.
Confession:Prayer that acknowledges sins, seeks forgiveness, and expresses repentance.
Thanksgiving:Prayer that expresses gratitude to God for His blessings, grace, and interventions.
Supplication/Petition:Prayer that makes specific requests to God for personal needs or the needs of others.
Intercession:Prayer on behalf of others, pleading with God for their well-being, healing, salvation, or guidance.
Meditation:Prayer that involves contemplation and reflection on God's word, attributes, or presence.
Contemplation:A form of prayer that involves resting in God's presence, without specific words or thoughts, just being aware of Him.
Lament:Prayer that expresses sorrow, grief, or distress to God, often accompanied by a plea for help.
Spiritual Warfare:Prayer that actively confronts evil forces, breaking strongholds, and asserting God's authority.
Dedication/Consecration:Prayer that commits oneself or something to God's service and will.
