What does it mean to consider it joy when faced with trials?

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds; because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. “ Jame 1 :2-4

It teaches that trials are not random misfortunes but rather purposeful experiences designed by God to strengthen faith, cultivate perseverance, and ultimately lead to a more complete and mature Christian

In essence, the passage teaches that through faith and perseverance in trials, believers can grow to be more complete and lacking nothing in their spiritual walk.
