Erectus is considered one of the first bands to showcase rap rock in the local music scene in the 90s, alongside Francis M and the Hardware Syndrome, and later, Slapshock, Greyhoundz, and other similar acts.

The original lineup consisted of Eric Villadelgado (guitars), Darwin Deaรฑo (drums), and George Aquilizan (vocals), while Charlie Jaguros served as a session bassist.
