Lately, I've been receiving the same questions from my colleagues and partners -

"𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗮𝗱𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲?"

And although it is a superrr valid question, "adding stuff" isn't always the best answer.

Most of the time its actually, optimization.

When building websites we follow some basic rules about design and user experience that we have adapted from a successful web dev coach, Robert Jones.

1. Keep the layout simple.

2. Make navigation easy to follow.

3. Use clear call to action

4. Remember that with content, less is more.

5. Don’t be afraid of whitespace.

6. Enhance your website design with eye-catching colors.

7. Incorporate attractive, easy-to-read fonts.

8. Engage users with video and rich images.

But in a nutshell, a website really must be extremely functional, fast, responsive, and accessible to all devices.

𝗪𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝘆.

The best thing while working with your ideal clients is they understand the essence of your work and how valuable you are to the success of their business.

But how do you attract your ideal clients?

𝙶𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚟𝚊𝚕𝚞𝚎 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚎𝚡𝚙𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚗𝚢𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚗 𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚗.

One way of doing it, is always thinking of what’s in it for them, rather than what’s in it for you.

You attract people by offering free help. By doing more than what other businesses do in your market.

Start with giving value by sharing what you know.

Personally, I offer free website audits where I examine their website and list (or even record) what they can improve in their site.

Another way is to drive traffic to your site or your landing page and give information out for free in exchange for their details (email/phone) and you can follow up with them (giving out discount vouchers, free tips, free anything that might be of value to your ideal clients).

𝙱𝚞𝚝 𝚛𝚎𝚖𝚎𝚖𝚋𝚎𝚛, 𝚍𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚋𝚎 𝚝𝚘𝚘 𝚜𝚊𝚕𝚎𝚜𝚢. 𝙳𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚋𝚎 𝚝𝚘𝚘 𝚙𝚞𝚜𝚑𝚢. 𝙳𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚋𝚎 𝚝𝚘𝚘 𝚍𝚎𝚜𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚎.

There are lots of people who end up doing business with you just because you’ve helped them.

Others attempt to do it on a mass scale hoping to get thousands of leads in one go. Know that there's nothing wrong with that, if its effective.

But really, if you just focus on the one-to-one of genuinely helping people, that’s a very good way to attract long term ideal clients for your business. 😉

Do you need a paid shoutout from an influencer?

Today, consumers are more wary on media advertisements. They don't easily believe what they see online unless a trusted friend, or someone they already know as specialist in the industry vouches for it.

Same as that, they don’t trust people who push their products or services to them.

That's why companies nowadays pay $$$$ for influencers with real engaging fans to "shoutout" their products or services. Its basically a subtle way of selling.

What's SEO??

Whenever you search something on Google, you get a very looong list of results in an instant.. right?

The first few websites you see there most likely means they're doing a very good job with their Search Engine Optimization.

So basically,

SEO is responsible of improving a website's visibility to a higher ranking...

And a higher Google Ranking means increase in user traffic, conversion rate, and of course, ROI!! 🔥

However, implementing SEO in a website is not as easy as it seems.
It is a tedious process where so much things needs to work seamlessly together.

Its an investment on both time, efforts, money and many other business assets.. And that is one of the main reasons why many business and website owners don't do SEO.

Plus, missing out on improving your digital marketing today means missing out on a lot of your potential customers waiting to be reached out by you.

Do you really need a tagline??

As audiences’ attention spans have shortened and the screens on which ads display have become increasingly pocket-sized, some have argued that a company tagline isn’t necessary at all.

Although there is a truth with “ a bad tagline does more harm than good”, completely ignoring the help of a tagline altogether would be a HUGE mistake.

Remember,

Taglines have a very important purpose - it summarizes what your company is all about in a SINGLE line.

This is especially useful for startups in showing their brand personality which sets them apart from other companies with similar business names.

When setting up a tagline, it is important to be HONEST.

If your tagline calls your company “the best” when you clearly aren’t, you’ll be breaking your customers’ trust before you’ve even had a chance to disappoint them.
