Never thought I’d get into Beyblade like this haha. My first ever beyblade came from my mom. She’s from Japan and visited us, and she brought me Sting Unicorn and Leon Crest. That time, I had zero knowledge. Like most bladers (aminin), I impulsively bought more beys without researching. Eventually, I paused and started studying the game, researching, learning the parts, and understanding how it all works.
I also collect Pop Mart (still do, pero hinay hinay na), but what I really love about Beyblade is that it’s not just about collecting. I get to play it with my family, girlfriend, pamangkin, and friends, and even meet new people and build friendships.
Yesterday I joined my first ever tournament organized by Santie Magcalas of Aswang Beyblade X , held at Acodes Cafe. Sobrang hesitant ako at first since I didn’t know anyone in the community and I’m just starting out, but I’m glad I went for it. Super fun and ang dami kong natutunan. Medyo kailangan ko pa i-improve launching ko haha.
Beyblade is really more than just the beys themselves. It’s a community, an experience, and a way to connect. Hope this scene grows even more. Looking forward to meeting more bladers. See you sa next spin!
