🇵🇭 Corruption in the Philippines: A Cycle We Keep Living In
Hindi na nakakagulat ang corruption dito sa ating bansa... naging background noise na siya.
Pero mas malala: na-normalize na.
Politicians treat positions like business.
People treat elections like utang na loob or fanbase wars.
System treats corruption like tradition.
Para tayong bansang hindi mabangon hindi dahil walang utak ang tao... pero dahil pagod na, hinati-hati, at palaging minamanipula.
🇵🇭 Politicizing Everything
Sa ibang bansa, may issues.
Sa Pilipinas, lahat nagiging politika:
Bagyo? May kulay.
Pagbibigay ng ayuda? May mukha ng politiko.
Pagtulong? May camera.
Kahit simpleng opinion? “Loyalista ka. DDS ka. Kakampink ka.”
Kaya hindi tayo nag-uusap... nag-aaway lang.
Hindi dahil magkaiba ang gusto… kundi dahil magkaibang kulay ang pinili.
🇵🇭 A Divided People
Filipinos aren’t naturally divided.
We’re divided on purpose.
Divide the people → confuse them → exhaust them →
then control them.
Hindi tayo nagkakaisa sa totoong lang, kasi busy tayo makipagtali sa kung “sino ang mabuti o masama."
Samantalang sila busy sa… well… budget at pagtago ng katotohanan.
🇵🇭 “Resilient”... When It Becomes a Curse
Dati, “Filipino resilience” meant hope.
Ngayon, toxic na siya kasi:
Ginagamit siya para takpan yung pagiging inutil o corrupt ng sistema.
“Buti na lang resilient kayo.” = kahit wala nang maayos na infrastructure, okay lang daw.
“Proud kami sa inyo.” = kahit iniiwan ng gobyerno, ang pinupuri pa rin ay pasensya ng tao.
Resilience became a shield for the corrupt,
and a prison for the ordinary Filipino.
🇵🇭 Why No Action?
Kasi marami nang Pilipino:
Takot (dahil may backlash, may red-tagging, may harassment)
Pagod (daily survival lang hirap na)
Cynical (“Wala namang mangyayari kahit magprotesta”)
Divided (iba-iba ang paniniwala, hindi magkaintindihan)
And the biggest one:
We complain loudly but move individually.
The corrupt move quietly but move as one.
🇵🇭 Pero here’s the deeper truth:
Hindi kulang sa tapang ang Pilipino.
Kulang sa collective direction.
Once Filipinos align again... kahit hindi perfect...
that’s the moment na lalakas ulit ang boses natin.
Hindi kailangan ng war, gulo, o violence.
Pero kailangan ng:
shared clarity
shared goal
and shared courage
Para matigil ’yung cycle ng Korapsyon.
Justice doesn’t come to the quiet.
Change doesn’t come to the obedient.
It comes to those who finally say:
“Sobra na. Tama na. Bumaba na kayo!"
