ππππ§π¨π₯π | Wired by Destiny: The Love Story Behind the Viral Proposal
In a world full of judgmental people, their opinions can dictate your love, causing confusion in your life. However, there are some couples who prove that despite judgment, their love stays strong. Though unsure at first, it eventually turns into a deep and genuine relationship.
Roselyn Fabregas Rapa and Janno Deramas De Esoy are one such couple who display love that is sure, unconditional, and challenging. Their love story will teach and inspire us by showing how their love helped make them stronger in the journey they are taking.
In 2016, Roselyn transferred to Romblon National High School (RNHS), where Janno was currently studying. At the time, they didnβt know each other. But one of Roselyn's classmates, who happened to be Janno's former elementary batchmate, introduced her to him.
Soon, they started talking, and Roselyn borrowed Janno's headset, which he let her use. After class, Janno looked for his headset among Roselyn's classmates.
On their way to Cajimos, they told Roselyn that Janno was right behind them; hearing that made Roselyn happy. One of her classmates teased Janno about becoming her boyfriend, and Janno agreed. But Roselyn didn't take it seriously. For her, they were too young to be in a relationship. From that moment, the headset led the way to a deeper connection.
A few weeks passed, a beautiful girl caught Janno's attention, and convinced him to leave Roselyn and be with her instead. He gave in. That shattered Roselyn's heart. That was their first breakup, but far from the end of their story.
On July 3, at the RSU Grand Ball Night of Class Batch 2025, Janno decided to propose to Roselyn, and she did not hesitate to say yes, feeling immense happiness at that moment. Their video proposal went viral after that romantic moment. However, their viral proposal received various comments. Some people said they would become members of 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) and were not thinking about their future. Despite negative comments, they continued their journey as a couple.
When asked who encouraged Janno to propose to Roselyn, he simply stated that no one forced him; he just wanted to propose and show Rose how much he loves her, with no intention of bragging.
He was truly prepared for this, and while they were doing their On-the-Job Training (OJT) together, he saved up and worked hard to buy the ring.
In a world where young love is often doubted, Roselyn and Janno are the living evidence that despite harsh judgments, they still made a way to make the pillars of their relationship stronger.
As they pursue their journey, their great story reminds us that even in the darkest path that we are taking, as long as we are committed to that goal, we can conquer everything.
