Serving the nation begins with serving the people around us. In every act of compassion, every conversation that offers hope, every hand extended in times of need, and every heart willing to listen, the spirit of nation-building comes alive. This second issue of the ASTIG Publication celebrates the Assumptionist commitment to becoming instruments of service wherever they are called.

Within these pages are stories of volunteers who reached communities with relief, students who shared their faith through Bible studies, individuals who opened spaces for others to be heard, and ordinary people whose kindness became a source of strength for many. Each story reflects a simple truth: love for country is expressed through genuine care for one another.

This collection honors service that asks for no recognition. It captures moments where empathy became action, where shared burdens became lighter, and where communities grew stronger through unity and compassion. These experiences show that every meaningful contribution, no matter how small, helps shape a nation founded on hope, responsibility, and solidarity.

As you turn every page, may these stories encourage you to look beyond yourself, embrace opportunities to serve, and become part of a generation that chooses to lead with purpose. The future of our country is built by people who are willing to serve today, and every Assumptionist has the power to leave a meaningful mark on the communities they touch.

LITERARY | Voice of the Unheard

Have you ever felt voiceless?
Like every word that leaves your mouth vanishes into the void?
Like your cries dissolve into thin airโ€”unseen, unheard, unacknowledged?

Not everyone will listen to your screamsโ€”that is the bitter truth. Not everyone will lend a hand when you are strugglingโ€”and that, too, is reality.

But what if I choose to change that reality?

With my mind and my pen, I will write the stories of the unheardโ€”the cries of the voiceless, the grief of the oppressed, the pain behind silenced eyes. I will become the bridge between their silence and a world that refuses to hear them.

Throughout my journey, I have known what it feels like to be invisible, to be muted by fear and swallowed by the noise of indifference. There were moments when all I could do was sit in the shadows, swallowing harsh truths I could not speak. I know the weight of being ignored. I know the sting of being dismissed. And I know how it feels to ache for someoneโ€”anyoneโ€”to listen.

The day I picked up a pen and decided to write not just for myself, but for others, was the day I found my purpose. I made a promise to use whatever voice I have to amplify those who are silencedโ€”especially my fellow students, those who are grieving, struggling, and fighting battles they never speak of. Through my words, I will let them be heard.

Helping others be seen and heard fills my heart. It is healing in itself. Because once, I longed for someone to speak for meโ€”and now, I am becoming that someone for others.

I will be the voice I once needed.
I will write so others will not be forgotten.
I will be the voice of the unheard.

So until then, I will always write
For truth,
For integrity,
And for our right to exist.

In the wake of a new beginning unfolding, a yearโ€™s worth of stories, voices, and moments of service now comes together in one defining release. From quiet drafts to bold declarations, witness the unveiling truth of this school yearโ€™s first issue of ASTIG Publication.

Stories of truth, shaped within and beyond the halls of the University of the Assumption, come together in this first release, where service quietly breaks through and ideas take form in words that finally find their place. It opens new paths for expression and connection, allowing each piece to exist freely, resonate deeply, and reach beyond the limits of what was once imagined possible.

With its first-ever e-copy, the ASTIG Publication breaks past limits, allowing every word to travel farther, reach deeper, and live beyond the pageโ€”marking not just a beginning, but a bold expansion of where truth can be seen and felt.

Come forth with us as we turn these pages that bind us in shared moments and quiet meaning, and witness the stories still waiting to be told beyond the horizon.
