and large, rewarding results! From its very inception, GNN TV44 Pampanga (then known as Infomax. 8) was conceptualized quite differently from the typical community channel on cable. To be a little more presumptuous about it has in no time redefined viewer perception of a ‘community channel’. Supported by state-of-the-art equipment and a highly professional and creative workforce, the station veered away from just the usual billboard announcements and community event coverages quite common among cable community channels. It ventured into the production and airing of quality television materials – from news and documentaries to lifestyle and public affairs talk shows – an eclectic array of programs focused on Pampanga and the people, but taking on general themes that will pique the interest of viewers even outside the Kapampangan region. Now on its 18th year of operation, GNN TV 44 (Infomax.8) has firmly found its modest niche as the Community Channel of Pampanga, since its programs touch on Pampanga-wide content and issues. Furthermore, these programs are periodically retooled to make them more responsive to the needs of the community it is serving.

DOTr Holds Coordination Meeting with Manila Officials for NSCR Project

MANILA — The Department of Transportation (DOTr), led by Assistant Secretary for Right of Way and Site Acquisition Irish “IC” Calaguas, met with Manila City officials to discuss the clearing of Old Antipolo Road to facilitate the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) Project from Clark to Calamba.

Calaguas was joined by project managers Ralph Gonzales and Joseph Ferrer. Representing the Manila LGU were City Administrator Atty. Wardee Quinto, City Planning and Development Officer Mark De Leon, and other city officials.

DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon expressed gratitude to former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso for supporting the project, in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to fast-track the NSCR for the benefit of daily commuters.
