β€œIt’s okay not to be okay.”

Ngayong National Stress Awareness Day, paalalang hindi mo kailangang laging maging matatag.

Honoring the legacy and spirit of those who have gone before us this All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day. Today we light candles and offer prayers for our loved ones, reflecting on the impact they had on our lives. As we gather with family and friends, we celebrate the enduring presence of the saints and souls in our hearts, cherishing the memories and lessons they left behind.

This season of remembrance reminds us that love and faith transcend time. All Saints’ Day calls us to honor the holy men and women who served as examples of goodness, courage, and devotion β€” guiding us to live with compassion and integrity. On All Souls’ Day, we turn our hearts to our departed family members and friends, praying for their eternal peace and remembering the warmth of the moments we once shared.

As the light of candles flickers at cemeteries and homes, it symbolizes hope β€” a hope that the souls of our loved ones rest in peace and that their spirit continues to shine through us. Through prayer and reflection, we keep their memory alive, finding comfort in knowing that they are never truly gone, but forever a part of who we are.

The Howling Dogs: Echoes of Belief and Fear

The night was cold and heavy with silence. A man walked down an empty road, his footsteps echoing against the dark. The moon hung low, casting pale light on the path ahead. Suddenly, a chorus of howling dogs broke the stillness. Their cries pierced through the nightβ€”long, haunting, and unending. The man froze. His grandmother’s words echoed in his mind: β€œWhen dogs howl at night, they see spirits roaming near.”

Fear gripped him. He dared not look back. The howls grew louder, as if following his every step. Though he reached home safely, the sound lingered in his memory. From that night on, the howling of dogs was no longer just noiseβ€”it became a reminder of the unseen, of something beyond human understanding.

The story of the howling dogs reflects the power of belief and the mystery of fear. Myths like these have long been part of our culture, connecting us to the unseen world our ancestors respected and feared. They remind us that not everything in life can be explained, and that some fears are born from faith as much as from imagination.

In this story, the dogs symbolize both warning and wonder. Their howls are not merely sounds of the nightβ€”they are echoes of our own emotions, our doubts, and our curiosity about what lies beyond sight. The man’s fear reveals a truth we all share: that what we believe often shapes how we live, think, and feel.

The howling dogs remind us to listenβ€”not only with our ears but with our hearts. They whisper of old beliefs that continue to live within us, reminding us that fear and faith often walk hand in hand under the same moonlit sky.
