CJ Santos is a writer, radio host and voice talent. He studied Communication Arts and had withdrawn from Lyceum of the Philippines to work full time as a radio personality. In 2005, Santos took the job as a call center agent at Convergys Philippines to earn extra money and help support his family. He was very active in the company’s rest and recreation department and learned the basics of making small websites and designing a team poster. This skill was developed when Santos met an American web developer named David Davis Jr. who then offered him a part-time job as a graphics designer.
In 2011, Santos retired from his call center job and was employed by Davis as an Operations Manager for DCGWS Internet Solutions. Here, Santos handled a team of software engineers and advanced his knowledge in video, brand development and web development.
Tee Radio
At the same year, Santos met Louie Mark Kempis, founder of Tee FM, a small online radio based in Pasig City. Kempis asked Santos to be his “adviser” in giving Tee FM a good brand. A former radio personality Santos also helped Kempis by joining its DJ Roster and assigned himself the call sign Jack Logan. A specialist in Brand Development, Santos helped Tee FM grow its audience and further elevated its brand away from its competitors. Santos rebranded Tee FM to Tee Radio and brought it to what it was now today. At the present, Santos co-owns Tee Radio Media Entertainment Inc.
Witty Jack!
In 2013, armed with knowledge in brand development, web development, audio and video production, Santos sets up a small home office in his house in San Mateo, Rizal. He created a website and named it Witty Jack! (following his DJ callsign). Santos explained that a design or advertising agency should work happily and not hide in the confines of office cubicles but should collaborate as friends, family and as a team. He employed his cousin Ritchie Jota, as a project-based videographer, Noel Dolor as a writer and his friend Posh Develos. This team did not function though because Santos cannot afford to finance a company yet however, Witty Jack offered website and design solutions to small businesses and companies. He worked his way up by creating audio visual presentations, Powerpoint presentations, posters, music videos and even typing jobs.
International Clients
He also started working for international clients including USA, Australia, Panama, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Israel with businesses ranging from real estates, pharmaceuticals, hardware tools and educational materials.
Company Formation
Santos met Karlene Meniano, a sales and operations professional and Rem Ermita, a social media professional. Santos told them about Witty Jack and his dreams of the future; “a company so cool that it can offer multimedia services without working in neckties”.
Meniano and Ermita believed in the idea and offered to give Santos their help even without compensation. They both helped him create a small business structure and solidified Santos’ vision and mission for his company. Santos also seeks the assistance of his brother -in-law Isidoro Ciceron Jr. and his mother-in-law Elisa Geronimo to help finance his business licenses.
Armed with expertise in Social Media Management, Brand Development, Web Design and Development and Film making, Santos formed Witty Jack Media Incorporated last June 2018 and launched 3 initial brands namely, Witty Jack Creatives, Witty Jack Ink and Trends and Witty Jack Digital.
