This achievement reflects our community’s commitment to ecotourism, environmental protection, and sustainable tourism development—where progress flows hand in hand with nature.

Same-day visitors data consolidated by the Provincial Tourism Office showed that rivers in the municipality of San Miguel recorded the highest number of visitors:

The Municipal Agriculture and Fisheries Council (MAFC) capped off 2025 with a meaningful Year-End Assessment held on December 11, 2025 at the District 2 Covered Court, San Miguel, Catanduanes. Under the steadfast leadership of Ms. Cherryl Tatel, the gathering became a celebration of hard work, community spirit, and agricultural excellence.

A highlight of the event was the recognition of outstanding individuals who brought honor to San Miguel after earning regional and national awards this year. Their achievements stand as a testament to the resilience and dedication of San Miguel's farmers and fisherfolk—proof that local talent can shine on the biggest stages.

The MTCAO also extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) for the warm invitation and for continuously fostering partnerships that uplift the town’s agricultural and tourism sectors.

With renewed commitment and a shared vision, San Miguel closes the year stronger, prouder, and ready for even greater milestones ahead.

The Office of Tourism, Culture, and Arts of San Miguel expresses its sincere appreciation to Provincial Board Member Hon. Fred Gianan, Committee Chairman on Tourism, for his valuable visit and insightful discussion with Senior Tourism Operations Officer Gerome.

Hon. Gianan and Sir Gerome exchanged ideas on how to further strengthen tourism initiatives in both the municipality and the province. Their conversation highlighted the importance of collaboration, innovative programming, and continuous support for local tourism development.

We thank PBM Gianan for his time, commitment, and genuine interest in San Miguel's tourism progress. His visit reinforces our shared goal of promoting sustainable tourism and uplifting communities across Catanduanes.

The Local Government Unit of San Miguel proudly concluded its vibrant and meaningful celebration of National Children’s Month last December 9,2025, spearheaded by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) under the dedicated leadership of Ms. Geraldine Templonuevo. Guided by this year’s theme, “OSAEC–CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban! ”, the celebration emphasized the community’s unified stand to protect children from online and offline exploitation while upholding their rights and welfare.

A key highlight of the event was the inspiring message delivered by the Guest Speaker, Mr. Rizaldy Lisazo, who underscored the importance of strengthening child protection mechanisms and empowering families and communities to advocate for children’s safety.

The program also showcased exceptional young talents through the Singing Competition and Folk Dance Contest. The panel of judges included Ms. Jane Ogena of MNAO, Mr. John Joseph Tabirao of LYDO, and Mr. Gerome Tapas of MTCAO, who all brought expertise, fairness, and enthusiasm to the event.

The venue came alive with colorful performances, heartfelt songs, and dynamic cultural dances that celebrated the creativity and resilience of San Miguel’s children. More than just a festive gathering, the event reaffirmed the municipality’s commitment to defending children’s rights and nurturing a safe, supportive environment for every child.

With the steadfast leadership of MSWDO and the collaboration of partner offices and stakeholders, LGU San Miguel continues to champion a safer, brighter, and more empowered future for all children.

The Parish of Saint Michael the Archangel warmly invites all San Miguelnons to witness the Parade of Saints on October 31, 2025 (Friday) at 3:00 PM.

The parade will start from Saint Michael the Archangel Parish and proceed through Barangay District 3, District 2, and District 1.

This meaningful activity is in connection with the celebration of All Saints’ Day on November 1, as we honor the holy men and women who devoted their lives to faith, love, and service to God.

Join us as our youth and parishioners portray the lives of the saints, reminding us that we are all called to holiness in our own ways. May their examples inspire us to live with compassion, humility, and faith.
