I’ll now be 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆, but please let me know your preferred time first. I already have a few classes that day, and I’ll also be preparing for my university lectures.
From Monday to Thursday, my schedule is almost full due to other freelance work, but if you’d like a very early morning class (PHT), feel free to ask—I’ll see what I can do!
Saturdays are not available as I’ll be teaching at the university the whole day.

✨ 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲

Today I had an interesting challenge with one of my students.
He thought saying “f***ed up” was natural English—because he often hears it on movies and other places. 😅
I got a little worried he might actually use it in a meeting! (By the way, my student is a company director.)

So, I explained:
👉 Instead of “f***ed up,” it’s better to say “messed up.”
It’s still informal, but much softer and safer to use in work situations.

✅ Example:

“The project is messed up.” (okay in casual or work talk)

❌ “The project is f***ed up.” (too strong, unprofessional!)

It was also new to him that “messed up” can be used in different contexts, so I gave more examples to help him practice.

💡 Lesson for everyone: Be careful with slang—you might hear it often, but it doesn’t always mean it’s okay to use it everywhere.

Golden Week in Japan is a period of several national holidays clustered together in late April and early May. These holidays include:

Showa Day (April 29th): Celebrates the birthday of the former Emperor Showa.

Constitution Memorial Day (May 3rd): Commemorates the enactment of the Japanese Constitution.

Greenery Day (May 4th): A day to appreciate nature and the environment.

Children's Day (May 5th): A day to celebrate the health and happiness of children.

Because these holidays fall close together, many people in Japan take this time to travel and enjoy.
