✨AUGUST THEME✨

CHRIST’S HUMILITY IS THE ANSWER
Manifesting Servanthood

Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. (John 13:14-15 NIV)

“Live for yourself.” “Do what you want.” “Put yourself first.” This the wisdom of the world—similar to the mindset of the Romans during Jesus’ time, where power and self-advancement were the goals.

But Jesus chose a different path. Upon knowing “that the Father had put all things under His power” (John 13:3), He didn’t assert His authority on His disciples. Instead, He “got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist” (verse 4) to wash their feet. In His humility, Jesus shows us there’s greatness in being the least of all.

Jesus is Lord Church Sta. Cruz

To our beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,

As the rain pours and the winds blow, let us be reminded that our God remains our strong refuge and unshakable shelter. Though the skies may be gray and the roads may be flooded, the light of Jesus shines ever bright in our hearts.

Psalm 46:1 (NIV) says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

In moments like these, let us stand firm in faith, pray for one another, and extend help to those in need. Let love and compassion overflow, just as His grace overflows in every storm we face.

We may be physically apart due to the weather, but we remain united in spirit and in purpose—to glorify God and be a blessing to our community.

Stay safe, stay dry, and stay faithful. This storm too shall pass, but God's promises never will.

We are praying for you and with you.

With love and hope,
Your Jesus is Lord Church Sta. Cruz Family
💛 JESUS IS LORD over the weather, over our lives, and over all! 💛

Let us continue to be in the spirit of prayer by revisiting our previous Prayer Revival Meeting livestreams.

In these moments, let us remember Psalm 46:1: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” May we find comfort in His presence and continue to unite in prayer for our nation.
