𝗠𝗮𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝘀𝗮 stands as one of the 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘀 in the field of education, earning a place in 𝐷𝑟. 𝐶𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑜 𝑂𝑠𝑖𝑎’𝑠 𝑏𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝐼𝑙𝑜𝑘𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑎’𝑠 400. His remarkable dedication and contributions to teaching were honored by 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗟. Beyond national acclaim, Maestro Hermosa also brought pride to the Ilocano people on the global stage. His outstanding work earned praise from prestigious institutions in the United States, including the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲. In 1980, Sta. Lucia Academy, Inc. 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗼𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. The official guidelines, rules, and mechanics — including judging criteria, categories, deadlines, and submission requirements — are now released for all participants. Registered teams are now recognized and may begin their journey of turning stories into films, showcasing their skills in scriptwriting, directing, acting, cinematography, and editing.

More than just a competition, the Film Fest is a platform that fosters artistry, teamwork, and expression. As we joyfully celebrate the 79th Founding Anniversary of Sta. Lucia Academy, Inc., we also look forward to a historic milestone—our OAK JUBILEE: the 80th Founding Anniversary. For eight decades, faith, service, and excellence have shaped who we are, and now we call on the creativity of our community to shine as we mark this once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

In line with this, we are proud to officially launch the 80th Founding Anniversary Logo-Making Contest. This competition aims to discover a symbol that will embody not only the 80 fruitful years of Sta. Lucia Academy, Inc., but also its enduring legacy, cherished values, and vision for the future.

The winning design will be proclaimed the official logo of the 80th Founding Anniversary and will be used in all programs, publications, and activities related to the celebration.

This launch also marks the beginning of our one-year preparation for the Oak Jubilee, which officially starts on September 24—a journey leading to the grand celebration of our 80th Founding Anniversary.

𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗛𝗦 𝗩𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

On August 20, 2025, representatives from the Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Office visited our school to evaluate the implementation of the Senior High School (SHS) Voucher Program. The activity sought to ensure that the program is being carried out effectively to provide financial assistance to eligible learners as they pursue their senior high school education.

During the visit, DepEd officials examined relevant documents, engaged in interviews with key personnel, and observed school processes linked to the voucher program. This undertaking highlights DepEd’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and the continuous enhancement of educational services.

The SHS Voucher Program remains instrumental in expanding access to education. By subsidizing a portion of tuition fees, it helps reduce the financial burden on families, enabling students to shoulder only the remaining balance. In turn, this widens opportunities for learners to complete senior high school in private institutions that can offer quality instruction.

Our school warmly welcomed the DepEd officials and expressed full support for the monitoring activity, recognizing that such initiatives reinforce our shared mission of delivering accessible, inclusive, and quality education for every learner.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗙𝗧𝗔 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿

Last August 23–24, 2025, our School Principal Mr Saul Pythias F. Crisologo and Student Affairs Coordinator Mr Izzy V. Alcaide represented the school at the AFTA Balikturo Seminar held at Emerald Hall, CSI Stadia, Dagupan City. The two-day event, which ran from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., brought together educators, leaders, and professionals from across the region to engage in dialogue, share expertise, and exchange valuable insights.

The seminar focused on leadership development, the design of student-centred programmes, and the strengthening of partnerships within the AFTA network. Through interactive discussions, collaborative workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions, participants explored strategies aimed at improving institutional management and advancing the quality of education in their respective schools.

More than just a venue for learning, the AFTA Balikturo Seminar also served as a platform for building connections and fostering collaboration among educators and school leaders. By the end of the programme, participants were equipped with renewed motivation, practical approaches, and a deeper sense of purpose in creating a supportive and empowering learning environment for students.
