Faithful sa Bawat Bukas

Text: Lamentations 3:22–23 (NKJV)

INTRODUCTION
Mga kapatid…
Naranasan mo na bang gumising na pagod ka na agad—kahit kakagising mo pa lang?
Yung pakiramdam na:
parehong problema
parehong bigat
parehong takot

At sa isip mo
“Lord… ganito na lang ba lagi?”
Pero sa gitna ng ganitong realidad, may isang katotohanan na hindi nagbabago:
May bagong awa ang Diyos para sa’yo—araw-araw.
Hindi dahil deserving ka.
Hindi dahil okay ka kahapon.
Kundi dahil tapat ang Diyos.

📖 CONTEXT
Ang Lamentations ay hindi simpleng lungkot lang—ito ay crisis of faith.
Wasak ang Jerusalem.
Tahimik ang templo.
Walang kasiguraduhan ang kinabukasan.
At sa isip ng marami:
“Iniwan na tayo ng Diyos.”
Pero sa gitna ng abo…
sa gitna ng pagkatalo…
may isang tinig na nagsabi:
“Hindi nagbago ang Diyos.”

PROPOSITION
Dahil sa hindi nagbabagong awa at katapatan ng Diyos, maaari tayong mamuhay nang may matatag na pag-asa sa bawat bagong umaga—kahit hindi nagbabago agad ang sitwasyon.

BIG QUESTION
Paano tayo mananatiling matatag at may pag-asa kahit paulit-ulit ang laban at tila walang pagbabago ang ating kalagayan?

TRANSITION
Sa Lamentations 3:22–23, may tatlong katotohanan na pinanghawakan ni Jeremias—

at ito rin ang pwede mong panghawakan… simula bukas ng umaga.
I. CONSTANT COMPASSION OF GOD
(Lamentations 3:22)
“We are not consumed…”
Hindi ka pa ubos—hindi dahil matibay ka…
kundi dahil maawain ang Diyos.

Kung ang basehan ay pagkakamali mo
matagal ka nang nawala.

Pero ang awa ng Diyos:
hindi nauubos
hindi nagbabago
hindi nakadepende sa performance mo

Illustration
Parang magulang na paulit-ulit nagpapatawad—
hindi dahil perfect ang anak,
kundi dahil mahal niya ito.

Application
Minsan ang pasensya natin—parang data plan…
“Low battery… low patience…”
Pero ang compassion ni Lord?
Unlimited. Walang data cap!

Christ-Centered Truth
Sa krus, si Jesus ang “naubos”
para hindi tayo maubos.
Ang dapat na parusa sa atin—
Siya ang tumanggap.
Para ang dapat na awa sa Kanya—
mapunta sa atin.

II. CONTINUOUS MERCIES OF GOD
(Lamentations 3:23a)
“They are new every morning…”
Hindi lang sapat na may awa ang Diyos—
bago ito araw-araw.
Hindi recycled.
Hindi leftovers.
Fresh mercy.

Illustration
Parang araw—kahit gaano kadilim ang gabi,
hindi pwedeng pigilan ang umaga.

Application
Parang alarm—kahit ilang beses mong i-snooze…
babalik pa rin!
Ganun din si Lord
kahit i-ignore mo minsan…
babalik pa rin ang awa Niya bukas.

Christ-Centered Truth
Ang resurrection ni Jesus ang ultimate “new morning.”
Pinakamadilim na gabi—krus.
Pinakamaliwanag na umaga—resurrection.
At dahil buhay si Cristo:
may bagong simula
may bagong lakas
may bagong awa

III. CERTAIN FAITHFULNESS OF GOD
(Lamentations 3:23b)
“Great is Your faithfulness.”

Hindi lang faithful
dakila ang Kanyang katapatan.
Hindi Siya:
paiba-iba
napapangako lang
nawawala
Siya ay constant. Sure. Reliable.

Illustration
Parang araw—kahit hindi mo makita,
hindi ibig sabihin wala na.

Application
Minsan ang tao—“seen” ka lang…
wala nang follow-up!
Pero si Lord?
Hindi ka lang nakita—sinamahan ka pa.

Christ-Centered Truth
Si Jesus ang patunay na hindi napapako ang pangako ng Diyos.
Lahat ng pangako—Yes kay Cristo.
Lahat ng plano—fulfilled kay Cristo.

CONCLUSION
Mga kapatid…
Sa gitna ng wasak na lungsod,
may isang matibay na katotohanan:

Tapat ang Diyos.
At sa buhay mo ngayon:
maaaring wasak ang plano
maaaring magulo ang sitwasyon
maaaring mabigat ang dinadala

Pero bukas ng umaga…
May bagong paalala:

“New every morning… great is Your faithfulness.”

CALL TO RESPONSE
Ngayon, may tanong ang Diyos sa’yo:
Magtitiwala ka ba kahit hindi mo pa nakikita ang sagot?

Tatlong Hakbang
Trust His Faithfulness
Kahit hindi mo nararamdaman—hindi ibig sabihin wala Siya.
Rest in His Mercy

Hindi ka tinatanggap dahil perfect ka—kundi dahil maawain Siya.
Reflect His Character
Kung tapat ang Diyos sa’yo—mamuhay ka ring tapat sa iba.

FINAL WORD
Sa bawat paggising mo…
Hindi mo man alam ang mangyayari,
alam mo kung sino ang kasama mo.
Faithful Siya kahapon
Faithful Siya ngayon
Faithful Siya bukas
Kaya mong harapin ang bawat umaga
dahil ang Diyos ay tapat.

Finding True Rest in God
(Paghahanap ng Tunay na Kapahingahan sa Diyos)

Sa mabilis na takbo ng buhay ngayon, parang luxury na lang ang pahinga.
Pero ayon sa Biblia, ang rest ay hindi lang physical na pahinga — ito ay spiritual rest na nanggagaling sa relasyon natin sa Diyos.
Ang pag-aaral na ito ay tutulong sa atin makita kung ano ang tunay na rest ayon sa Salita ng Diyos.

1. God’s Pattern of Rest
📖 Genesis 2:2–3
“Nagpahinga ang Diyos sa ikapitong araw matapos Niyang likhain ang lahat.”

Tanong
1. Paano ipinapakita ng halimbawa ng Diyos na mahalaga ang rest?
Ipinapakita nito na ang pahinga ay bahagi ng disenyo ng Diyos sa buhay ng tao. Hindi tayo nilikha para magtrabaho nang walang tigil. Ang rest ay paraan para maalala natin na hindi tayo ang may kontrol sa lahat — ang Diyos ang may hawak ng lahat.

2. Paano nagiging paraan ng pagtitiwala sa Diyos ang pahinga?
Kapag nagpapahinga tayo, parang sinasabi natin:
"Lord, sapat ang ginawa Mo. Ikaw ang bahala sa mga bagay na hindi ko kayang kontrolin."

2. Rest in God’s Presence
📖 Exodus 33:14
“Ako mismo ang sasama sa iyo, at bibigyan kita ng kapahingahan.”

Tanong
1. Ano ang ibig sabihin na ang presence ng Diyos ang source ng rest?
Ang tunay na kapayapaan ay hindi nanggagaling sa bakasyon, pera, o madaling buhay, kundi sa presensya ng Diyos. Kahit may problema, kapag kasama natin ang Diyos, may kapahingahan pa rin ang puso.

2. Paano nakakatulong ang paghahanap sa presensya ng Diyos kapag may problema tayo?
Kapag lumalapit tayo sa Diyos, nagbabago ang perspective natin.
Imbes na isipin natin na “Paano ko ito sosolusyunan?”
nagiging “Lord, paano Mo ako gagabayan dito?”

3. Rest in Christ
📖 Matthew 11:28–29
“Lumapit kayo sa akin kayong lahat na nahihirapan at nabibigatan…”

Tanong
1. Ano ang mga burdens na puwede nating dalhin kay Jesus?
Halimbawa:
• stress sa trabaho
• problema sa pamilya
• guilt dahil sa kasalanan
• anxiety sa future
• emotional exhaustion
Lahat ng ito ay iniimbitahan ni Jesus na ilapit natin sa Kanya.

2. Paano nagiging rest ang pagsunod kay Jesus?
Ang “yoke” ay parang pamatok na ginagamit sa dalawang baka. Ibig sabihin, kasama natin si Jesus sa pagdala ng bigat ng buhay. Hindi na tayo nag-iisa.

4. Being Still Before the Lord
📖 Psalm 37:7
“Pumanatag ka sa piling ng Panginoon at matiyagang maghintay.”
Tanong para sa Discussion
1. Ano ang ibig sabihin ng pagiging still sa harap ng Diyos?
Ito ay:
• pag-quiet ng ating worries
• pag-stop sa pagiging impatient
• pagtitiwala sa timing ng Diyos
• hindi pagiging impulsive
Ang pagiging still ay pagtitiwala sa Diyos kahit hindi pa malinaw ang sagot.
2. Paano ito naiiba sa ugali ng mundo?
Ang mundo ay laging nagsasabi:
“Bilisan mo! Gumalaw ka agad!”
Pero madalas sinasabi ng Diyos:
“Maghintay ka. May ginagawa Ako.”

5. Entering God’s Rest
📖 Hebrews 4:10–11
“Ang sinumang makakamit ng kapahingahan ng Diyos ay makakapagpahinga sa sarili niyang gawain.”

Tanong
1. Ano ang ibig sabihin ng ‘cease from our own works’?
Hindi ibig sabihin na titigil na tayo sa trabaho. Ang ibig sabihin ay titigil tayo sa pagdepende sa sarili nating lakas at magtitiwala tayo sa ginawa ng Diyos.

2. Paano nakakahadlang ang lack of faith sa rest?
Kapag wala tayong tiwala sa Diyos:
• lagi tayong nag-aalala
• gusto nating kontrolin lahat
• hindi tayo makapahinga

Pero kapag may faith tayo, may kapayapaan ang puso kahit may problema.
How God Helps Us Experience Rest
📖 Psalm 23:2
Pinapahiga tayo ng Diyos sa luntiang pastulan at dinadala sa tahimik na tubig — nagbibigay Siya ng physical at spiritual restoration.
📖 Isaiah 40:31
Ang mga naghihintay sa Panginoon ay nagre-renew ang lakas.
📖 John 14:27
Ibinibigay ni Jesus ang kapayapaan na hindi kayang ibigay ng mundo.
📖 Philippians 4:6–7
Sa pamamagitan ng panalangin at pasasalamat, binabantayan ng kapayapaan ng Diyos ang ating puso at isip.

Ang tunay na rest ay hindi lang pagtigil sa trabaho.

PEACE THROUGH PRAYER

Philippians 4:6-7

CONTEXT
(Konteksto ng Talata)
Ang aklat ng Philippians ay isinulat ni Apostle Paul habang siya ay nakabilanggo sa Roma. Kahit siya ay nasa kulungan, ang kanyang liham ay puno ng kagalakan at pag-asa.
Ang church sa Philippi ay isang iglesia na mahal ni Paul. Ngunit tulad ng ibang mga mananampalataya, sila rin ay dumaranas ng mga pressure ng buhay, persecution, at personal struggles.
Sa Philippians 4, tinuturuan ni Paul ang mga believers kung paano haharapin ang anxiety at worries ng buhay.

Sinabi niya:
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Lahat ng tao ay may mga bagay na ikinababahala.
May mga gabi na hindi tayo makatulog dahil sa:
problema sa pamilya
pressure sa trabaho
alalahanin sa kinabukasan
ministry burdens

Ang natural response ng tao ay mag-alala.
Ngunit sinabi ng Biblia:
“Be careful for nothing.”
Hindi ibig sabihin nito na wala tayong pakialam.
Ang ibig sabihin nito ay huwag mong hayaang kontrolin ng worry ang iyong puso.
Instead of worrying, God invites us to pray.
When prayer goes up - peace comes down.

When believers bring everything to God in prayer, God replaces anxiety with His supernatural peace.

How can believers experience the peace of God in the middle of anxiety and life's pressures?

The answer is found in the pattern of PRAYER.

MAIN SERMON BODY
I. PETITION OF THE SUPPLICANT
(Philippians 4:6)
The first step in prayer is petition.
Philippians 4:6 reminds us to bring our requests to God.
The word supplication comes from the Greek word deēsis (Strong's G1162) which means an earnest and urgent request made to God.
Kapag may problema ang tao, natural na mag-alala. Ngunit ang paalala ni Paul ay dalhin ang lahat sa Diyos sa panalangin.

Bible Illustration
Si Hannah sa 1 Samuel 1 ay dumaan sa matinding kalungkutan dahil wala siyang anak. Sa halip na manatili sa sakit, lumapit siya sa Diyos at ibinuhos ang kanyang puso sa panalangin.
At sinagot ng Diyos ang kanyang panalangin sa pamamagitan ni Samuel.

Application
Kapag may problema sa pamilya, health, finances, o ministry -
dalhin mo ito sa Diyos.
Prayer should not be our last resort.
Prayer must become our first response.

II. REVERENCE OF THE WORSHIPER
(Philippians 4:6)
Prayer is not only asking - it is approaching God with reverence.
The Greek word for prayer is proseuchē (Strong's G4335) which means devotional prayer directed to God in worship.
Hindi tayo nakikipag-usap sa ordinaryong tao.
Nakikipag-usap tayo sa Diyos ng langit at lupa.

Bible Illustration
Sa Exodus 3, nang makita ni Moses ang burning bush, sinabi ng Diyos:
“Put off thy shoes from off thy feet; for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.”
Ito ay larawan ng paggalang sa presensya ng Diyos.

Application
Kapag tayo ay nananalangin, hindi ito simpleng routine lamang.
Ito ay sagradong pakikipag-usap sa Diyos.

III. ADORATION OF THE WORSHIPER
(Philippians 4:6)
Adoration means praising God for who He is.
Madalas mas nakikita natin ang laki ng problema kaysa sa laki ng Diyos.
But when we worship God, our focus changes.

Si David ay kilala sa pagsamba sa Diyos kahit sa gitna ng problema.
Psalm 34:1 (KJV)
“I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Praise shifts the heart from fear to faith.

Application
Bago tayo humingi sa Diyos - purihin muna natin Siya.

IV. YIELDEDNESS OF THE DISCIPLE
(Philippians 4:6)
True prayer involves surrender.
Hindi lahat ng panalangin ay nasasagot sa paraang gusto natin.

Bible Illustration
Sa Garden of Gethsemane, nanalangin si Jesus:
Luke 22:42 (KJV)
“Not my will, but thine, be done.”
Ito ang tunay na larawan ng pagsuko sa kalooban ng Diyos.

Application
Prayer is not forcing God to follow our will.
Prayer is trusting God with His will.

V. EXPRESSION OF THANKSGIVING
(Philippians 4:6)

Paul emphasizes that prayer must include thanksgiving.
The Greek word eucharistia (Strong's G2169) means gratitude or grateful acknowledgment.
Thanksgiving reminds us of God's past faithfulness.

Bible Illustration
Sa John 6, bago pakainin ni Jesus ang limang libo, nagpasalamat muna Siya sa Ama.
Gratitude prepares the heart to see God's provision.

Application
Kapag nagpapasalamat tayo sa Diyos, lumalakas ang ating pananampalataya.

VI. REST OF THE GUARDED HEART
(Philippians 4:7)
Philippians 4:7 promises something powerful.
The peace of God will guard our hearts and minds.
The word keep comes from the Greek phroureō (Strong's G5432) which means to guard like a soldier protecting a city.
Ang kapayapaan ng Diyos ay parang sundalo na nagbabantay sa puso ng mananampalataya.

Bible Illustration
Sa Mark 4, habang may bagyo sa dagat, si Jesus ay natutulog sa bangka.
Ibig sabihin - kahit may bagyo sa paligid, may kapayapaan sa presensya ni Cristo.

Application
Ang tunay na kapayapaan ay hindi galing sa kawalan ng problema -
kundi sa presensya ni Cristo sa gitna ng problema.

CHRIST-CENTERED CONCLUSION
Ang mundo ay puno ng worries, anxieties, at pressures.
Ngunit ang Diyos ay nagbigay ng malinaw na sagot:
PRAYER.
Kapag ang believer ay natutong dalhin ang lahat sa Diyos sa panalangin, ang resulta ay kapayapaan na hindi kayang ipaliwanag ng mundo.
And that peace comes through Christ Jesus.

FINAL CHALLENGE
Kung inaanyayahan tayo ng Diyos na dalhin ang lahat sa Kanya sa panalangin -
bakit natin pinipiling dalhin mag-isa ang ating mga alalahanin?

As we continue to trust God through prayer and experience His peace in our lives, our transformed hearts and steadfast faith become a living testimony that we are truly a Proof of Life in Christ.

CONTEND FOR THE FAITH
Jude 1:1-3 (KJV)

TITLE:
Contending Faith in a Compromising World

THEME:
Standing Firm in Our Holy Identity

SUBTITLE:
Guarding What Has Been Given

TEXT:
Jude 1:1-3 (KJV)
Beloved, the book of Jude is short, but it is sharp. It is not a lullaby; it is a war cry.
Jude intended to write about the sweetness of salvation, but instead he wrote about the seriousness of defense.
Something had entered the church. False teachers had slipped in quietly.
Corruption was not outside knocking - it was already inside influencing.
And so Jude writes with urgency: “That ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”
The faith is not being rewritten. It is not being updated. It was delivered once. Complete. Final. Sufficient.
If we do not contend, we will conform.
How then do we contend for the faith in a compromising world?
Jude shows us that before we fight outwardly, we must understand who we are inwardly.

I. CONTEND FOR YOUR SANCTIFICATION
(Jude 1:1 - “sanctified”)
Jude begins by reminding believers that they are “sanctified by God the Father.”
Sanctified - set apart. Designated for divine use. Made holy by God.
Before you defend the faith, remember your identity. You are not common. You are consecrated.
The world says, “Blend in.”
God says, “Be set apart.”
Paul echoes this in 1 Corinthians 6:11 - “ye are sanctified.” Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 6:19).

That means your eyes matter. Your thoughts matter. Your words matter.
Galatians 5:17 tells us the flesh wars against the Spirit.

The battle is not first cultural - it is personal.
1 Peter 2:11 warns us that fleshly lusts war against the soul.
Romans 8:13 commands us to mortify the deeds of the body.
You cannot defend biblical truth while living in private compromise.

A soldier who neglects his armor cannot win the battle.

Contend for your sanctification. Fight for your prayer life.
Guard your thought life. Protect your purity.
Parents - model holiness before your children.
Workers - carry integrity into your workplace.
Students - stand firm when pressured to conform.
Leaders - preach holiness without apology.

Holiness is not legalism. It is loyalty to Christ.
Jesus did not only save you from sin’s penalty;
He saved you for holy purpose.
If we are going to contend for the faith, we must first contend for our sanctification.

II. CONTEND FOR YOUR PRESERVATION
(Jude 1:1 - “preserved in Jesus Christ”)
Jude says believers are “preserved in Jesus Christ.”

Preserved - kept, guarded, secured.
Notice the phrase: in Jesus Christ.

Our security is not in our strength.
It is in our Savior.

The same Christ who saves also sustains.
2 Corinthians 1:6-8 speaks of affliction, yet preservation through it.
Romans 12:2 tells us not to be conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of our mind.
John 15:20-21 reminds us that persecution will come.
Storms will rise. Culture will shift. Pressure will intensify.

But we are preserved.
Like Noah in the ark - judgment outside, safety inside.
Like Daniel in the lions’ den - danger present, but God preserving.

Preservation does not mean absence of trial. It means assurance of triumph.

Believer, you are held by Christ.
When your strength weakens - He keeps you.
When culture mocks - He keeps you.
When temptation presses - He keeps you.

You contend not from fear of losing salvation, but from confidence in divine preservation.

Because He keeps us, we can stand.

III. CONTEND FOR YOUR CALLING
(Jude 1:3 - “earnestly contend”)
Then Jude commands: “earnestly contend for the faith.”
This word carries intensity. Struggle. Strive. Fight with purpose.
This is not physical warfare - it is spiritual steadfastness.

The faith has been delivered once.
That means it is complete.
We do not edit it to fit culture.
We defend it against distortion.
Matthew 9:36-38 reminds us that the harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few.
The world is confused. Souls are wandering.
Truth is needed.

Contending does not mean being quarrelsome. It means being courageous.

We contend by preaching truth clearly.

Living truth consistently.
Teaching the next generation faithfully.
Guarding doctrine carefully.

Silence in the face of error is surrender.
We are called - not to comfort - but to conviction.

Jesus contended to the cross. He did not compromise truth to avoid suffering. He stood, even unto death.

And now He calls us to stand.

CHRIST-CENTERED CONCLUSION
Church, this is not a casual faith.
You are sanctified - set apart by the Father.
You are preserved - kept in the Son.
You are called - commissioned to contend.
Holiness is your identity.
Security is your assurance.
Courage is your responsibility.

When you endure trials faithfully - that is proof of life.
When you defend the gospel courageously - that is proof of life.
We are not merely surviving culture - we are showing that Christ is alive within us.

The world may see darkness around us, but it must see life within us.
So let your sanctification show.
Let your preservation steady you.
Let your calling move you.

Because when a believer stands firm in truth, lives holy before God, and proclaims Christ without compromise - the world sees something undeniable:
Jesus is alive.
And beloved, when we contend for the faith, we become living testimonies - visible witnesses - undeniable evidence that the gospel still transforms.
We are, by His grace, Proof of Life.
