ITS A SHAKY OCTOBER!
Stay alert and educated on what to do.
โก๏ธIf indoors:
Drop, Cover, and Hold On: Get on your hands and knees, cover your head and neck with your arms, and take shelter under a sturdy desk or table. Hold on with one hand.
โก๏ธIf outdoors:
Move to a clear area, away from trees, light posts, or buildings. Drop to the ground and cover your head and neck with your arms until the shaking stops.
โก๏ธIf you are in a campsite:
During an earthquake while camping, move to an open, safe space away from potential hazards like trees, power lines, and steep slopes, then drop to the ground, cover your head and neck, and hold on until the shaking stops.
โ
During the shaking:
Move to a clear area: Safely move to an open space away from anything that could fall, such as trees, power lines, signs, or steep banks.
Drop, Cover, and Hold On: Drop to your hands and knees. Cover your head and neck with your arms. If there is a sturdy table or picnic bench nearby, get under it and hold on. If there is no shelter, stay low and protect your head and neck with your arms.
โ
Stay put:
Do not try to run to a tent or a car. The greatest danger is from falling and flying objects, so moving during the shaking is very dangerous.
โ
After the shaking stops:
Stay in your clear spot and wait to ensure it's safe.
Check yourself and others for injuries.
Be aware of potential hazards like falling rocks, debris, or aftershocks.
Praying for the PH ๐
