Napakalalim ng linyang ‘yan. Kasi totoo. Hindi lang tayo basta nagpapalaki ng anak—nagtatanim tayo ng alaala, ng ugali, ng pagmamahal na habangbuhay nilang baon.

Isang araw, hindi na tayo ang lagi nilang kasama. May kaibigan, partner, o magiging pamilya silang makikilala, at doon nila ikukuwento kung paano sila pinalaki, minahal, dinisiplina, at sinuportahan.

I want my children to say…
“My mom was tired, but she never gave up.”
“She didn’t have everything, but she gave us all she had.”
“She was firm, but she always led with love.”
“She was our home.”

Ayokong maalala ako ng mga anak ko bilang isang magulang laging pagod, o absent kahit nandiyan naman.
Gusto ko maalala nya ako bilang isang magulang na kahit maraming pinagdadaanan, naging ligtas, maunawain, at mapagmahal pa rin.
