EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY IN SOKOR ‼️
NEWS | PLGU-NV to Profile Applicants for Prospective Seasonal Farm Work in South Korea
The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya will conduct a two-day profiling and screening of potential applicants for a prospective Seasonal Farm Worker Program in South Korea on September 20–21, 2025, at the CMP Convention Center, Provincial Capitol, Bayombong, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The activity is part of Governor Atty. Jose "Jing" V. Gambito’s efforts to expand employment opportunities for Novo Vizcayanos. The provincial government clarified that while there is still no Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with any county in South Korea for the hiring and deployment of seasonal workers, it has entered into an MOA with Mr. Hyo Joon Kim, Director of Global Programs at Link Impact, to open a secure pathway for Vizcayano farmers. As part of the preparatory steps under this partnership, a South Korean partner will personally conduct the profiling to assess qualified applicants.
Applicants must be 25 to 45 years old, experienced in farm work, mentally and medically fit (with no hypertension, diabetes, asthma, tuberculosis, heart problems, and similar conditions), and willing to adapt to Korean farm culture and undergo basic Korean language training.
Required documents include an accomplished biodata with photo; a valid government-issued ID (original and photocopy); a photocopy of a valid passport with at least one year of remaining validity; three passport-size photos; and a marriage certificate, if applicable. Applicants without passports may still apply and will be listed separately.
Details on compensation, benefits, and other terms will be discussed upon the finalization of a future MOA with a South Korean local government.
