The CCDI Boxing Team, with their skill and tenacity, put on display at the Saturday regional boxing tournament where they garnered victories and faced tough competition in various weight categories. The event, held at the Bulusan Municipal Gymnasium, featured boxers from across the province.

Official Tournament Results for CCDI Boxers:

In the 50kg division, Jessie Burcel of the Red Team delivered an impressive performance, defeating Martin Callos of the Blue Team by knockout in the second round. The victory marked Burcel's continued dominance in the lightweight category.

The closely contested battle, the judges scored unanimously for John Ric Palencia of the Red Team over Mike Warren Buitre of the Blue Team in the 55 kg class. Each of the judges cast their score in favor of Palencia, thus declaring him winner by unanimous decision.

A scheduled 52kg bout between John Paul Alamer (Blue Team) and Daniel Gibaga (Red Team) ended in an official draw when the fight was stopped due to an injury.

In the 51kg division, Jhon Chris Paje of the Red Team advanced without competition when his scheduled opponent, Richmond Domingues of the Blue Team, withdrew prior to the match, resulting in a walkover victory.

The 53kg division would see CCDI's Aldrin Serrano losing in a hard-fought fashion until he was stopped by Jhonny Emaas with a second-round knockout after a hotly contested clash.

No immediate announcements were made regarding future tournament dates or locations. The Bulusan event concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding performances across all weight divisions.

Proper Chatting Etiquette

A Friendly Guide for CCDIans When Sending Online Messages to their Teachers

Whether you’re messaging through our LMS, class group chats, or private messages, how you communicate matters. Not sure how to start or what’s appropriate?

These tips will help you chat like a true CCDIan:
• Start with a polite greeting
• Introduce yourself with your full name and course/block
• Address your teachers appropriately
• State your purpose clearly and briefly
• Use respectful and complete sentences
• Avoid using all caps, slangs, or inappropriate terms
• End the conversation graciously
• Wait patiently for a response
• Avoid flooding messages
• Avoid messaging during inappropriate hours

Remember:
Every message you send is a reflection of your character as a student—let it show respect, clarity, and courtesy.
