Every journalist has that one interview they'll never forget — the kind that reminds them why they got into the business in the first place. For one Time Magazine writer, that moment came not in a high-stakes political interview, but in a conversation with their all-time favorite band, Paramore.

Before landing that dream interview, the journalist had already racked up impressive credits, including a sit-down with Hollywood icon Brooke Shields. While Shields proved to be warm and gracious, her years of media experience meant she had a polished answer for every question — a testament to the power of media training at the highest level.

But it was the Paramore interview that truly stood out. As a self-described obsessive fan, the journalist could barely contain their excitement while speaking with frontwoman Hayley Williams. "I was just smiling the whole time," they recalled — a genuine, unscripted moment of joy that no amount of professional composure could hide.

Like I I interviewed Brooke Shields. Oh. How was that? She's so nice, but she does so many interviews. So like she knows how to answer any question. She's got it. She's down. Yeah.
