Hoverlink Ontario is launching a bold new hovercraft service that could transport passengers between downtown Toronto and St. Catharines in just 30 minutes. With capacity for 180 passengers and the potential to make 48 trips a day, the all-season service promises to remove up to 8,000 cars from the QEW daily.

Designed as both a tourism and commuter solution, the amphibious vehicle would travel from Billy Bishop Airport to a new terminal in Port Weller, cutting down on gridlock and enhancing access to popular destinations like Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Falls.

With shuttle service connections and plans for onboard entertainment—including DJs for concertgoers—the service is pitched as fast, fun, and feasible. No launch date yet, but a 30-year deal with Ports Toronto means liftoff may not be far off.
