The study titled "Socioeconomic Status and Mental Health: Their Role in the Academic Success of Mathematics Majors" was presented during the 2026 International Student Research Congress.

The presentation focused on how socioeconomic status and mental healthโ€”particularly depression, anxiety, and stressโ€”influence the academic success of mathematics majors in terms of grades, engagement, and retention.

Key findings revealed that while socioeconomic status showed no significant relationship with academic success, mental health factors demonstrated a significant relationship with students' mathematics performance, engagement, and retention. The study highlights the need for stronger mental health support systems to enhance student success in mathematics.

Through sharing their findings, the presenters were able to show real connections between students' well-being and their academic journey in mathematics.

The research revealed that while self-efficacy fuels the courage of future teachers to keep moving forward despite pressure and challenges, consistent preparation through the Mock LEPT remains one of the strongest indicators of actual board exam success. From sleepless nights of review to moments of doubt turned into determination, the study captures the real struggles and triumphs of teacher education graduates from 2022โ€“2024.

JRMSU BSEd-Math researchers present career success study at iSRC 2026! ๐Ÿ“Šโœจ

The study titled "Career Success of Select BSEd Mathematics Graduates in JRMSU" was presented during the 2026 International Student Research Congress.

The presentation focused on how promotion, professional growth, and external recognition define the career trajectories of BSEd Mathematics graduates from 2016 to 2022. It highlighted that while graduates demonstrate strong commitment to professional development with 81% pursuing or completing a Master's degree, overall career success remains at a very low level with most still in entry-level positions and receiving recognition primarily at the school or division level.

The study also revealed that demographic factors such as age, s*x, year graduated, division, and school size do not significantly influence career success, and that the three indicators of career success operate independently among early-career teachers.

A huge congratulations to the team behind "Arcade of Possibilities (A Game-Based Approach to Understanding Probability)" for bagging the 1st Best Exhibit Presentation award during the 2026 International Student Research Congress.

The exhibit featured an interactive demonstration of how games and technology can enhance the understanding of probability concepts, moving beyond abstract reasoning to create a more concrete learning experience. Through engaging games like Beat the Die, Drop the Ball, and Color Game Zone, the team showed how statistics and probability can become more meaningful and enjoyable for every learner.

More than just exploring mathematical chance, Arcade of Possibilities encouraged decision-making, collaboration, and critical thinkingโ€”proving that mastering uncertainty can be both a fun and impactful journey.
