Meet The Mentor
Chassy Cortes is a Cebu-born media personality, marketing and communications leader, brand strategist, event host, and voice-over artist whose career has been built on the power of presence, voice, and storytelling.
Her journey began in Cebu, where she built her foundation in broadcasting as a radio presenter, news reader trainee, and events manager. She started her radio career with Quest Broadcasting Inc., later gaining wider broadcast and on-ground experience through GVM TV Radio Corp., RCTV Channel 36, and Aliw Broadcasting Corporation. These early years shaped her discipline behind the microphone, her confidence in front of an audience, and her ability to think fast, speak clearly, and connect with people in real time.
She later brought that experience to Colombo, Sri Lanka, where she expanded her career across radio, television, fashion, lifestyle, entertainment, and corporate events. Her Colombo broadcast experience includes MTV/MBC Channels, Capital Maharaja Organisation, where she worked as a TV presenter and radio personality for Legends 96.6, as well as TNL Radio Network, where she served as a radio presenter, morning show host, consultant, assistant program manager, and business development manager.
For nine years, Chassy was also the official voice of Colombo Fashion Week, lending her voice to one of Sri Lanka’s most prestigious fashion platforms and becoming part of the sound and identity of the event.
Today, she serves as a senior marketing and communications leader, overseeing brand, PR, partnerships, events, and campaigns across multiple lifestyle and entertainment brands, including Scope Cinemas and Food Studio. Her career has evolved from being in front of the microphone to leading the strategy behind some of the country’s most memorable brand experiences.
With experience across Cebu and Colombo, and a career spanning radio, TV, live hosting, voice-over, events, marketing, and brand storytelling, Chassy brings more than technical skill to the room. She understands how to command attention, carry confidence, represent a brand, connect with an audience, and turn presence into influence.
This makes her a powerful mentor for young women learning to host events, TV shows, radio shows, and live voice-over — not only because she has done the work, but because she has built a career from it.
