TAGAMA Phase III: Mock Job Interview 2026 officially commenced at Sulu State University on May 25, providing graduating students with an opportunity to experience realistic job interview scenarios in preparation for future employment opportunities.

The activity, which will run until June 3, aims to help graduating Stalwarts strengthen their communication skills, boost self-confidence, and develop professionalism as they prepare to enter the workforce after graduation. Through the mock job interviews, students are exposed to actual interview settings designed to simulate real-life hiring processes.

The first batch of participating colleges and schools, scheduled from May 25 to 28, includes the College of Business Administration and Management, School of Computer Engineering, College of Arts and Sciences, and School of Nursing. Meanwhile, the second batch, set from June 1 to 3, will involve the College of Computing Studies, School of Criminal Justice Education, College of Teacher Education, School of Agriculture, and School of Social Work.

Graduating students are instructed to proceed to the designated colleges or schools of their assigned faculty interviewers during their respective schedules. Participants are also reminded to check their assigned interviewers and interview venues beforehand to ensure an organized and smooth flow of the activity.

University officials emphasized that attendance and participation in the mock job interview are mandatory and will serve as part of the requirements for the signing of student clearances. Students are encouraged to come prepared, observe punctuality, wear proper attire, and confidently present themselves during the interviews.

More than just a school requirement, TAGAMA Phase III serves as practical preparation for students as they transition from academic life to professional careers, allowing them to gain firsthand experience and readiness for future job opportunities.

Sulu State University (SSU) BS Criminology students participated in an information drive conducted by the Sulu Parole and Probation Office on May 20, 2026, at the SSU Covered Court.

The program officially started at 10:30 a.m. with an opening prayer attended by second-year and third-year BS Criminology students.

The lecture was headed by Eumir Angelo L. Villarreal, Senior Parole and Probation Officer and Officer-in-Charge, who discussed Presidential Decree No. 968, otherwise known as the โ€œAdult Probation Law of 1976,โ€ as amended by Republic Act No. 10707.

Villarreal began the discussion with an introduction to probation and explained that one of the responsibilities of their office is to conduct information drives regarding parole and probation laws. He also provided the students with a review of the Criminal Justice System and discussed the officeโ€™s VMGO (Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives), mandate, and the history of the probation law in the Philippines.

During the activity, the students gained a deeper understanding of the probation system, its objectives, functions, and role in the countryโ€™s criminal justice system. Villarreal also inspired the students by encouraging them to become future law enforcers with compassion, integrity, and a heart for public service.

The information drive became a meaningful learning experience for the criminology students as it strengthened their awareness of restorative justice and the importance of humane law enforcement in serving the community.
