And believe me, if appreciation alone were the basis, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲. ❤️

However, as your Local Chief Executive, naa pud tay limitations sa atong authority. Under the existing DepEd guidelines, the authority of local officials to suspend classes is exercised within the circumstances provided by DepEd, particularly during disasters and emergencies such as typhoons, heavy rainfall and flooding, earthquakes, and other hazards or emergencies.

𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐃𝐚𝐲, 𝐛𝐲 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟, 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬. So while gusto unta nato hatagan mo ug break, kinahanglan gihapon nato respetuhon ang policies and proper procedures of the Department of Education.

In fact, there are already LGUs that declared class suspensions for the Teachers’ Day celebration, but 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝.

But that does not mean Monday cannot be meaningful.

So instead, I would like to ask all our students in Sumilao to 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬.

Dili kinahanglan mugasto. Dili kinahanglan mahalon nga regalo.

A simple note will do. A simple “Thank you, Ma’am/Sir” will do. Tell them something you learned from them, or simply let them know that you appreciate what they do every day.

Sometimes, a few sincere words from a student are worth more than any gift.

And to all our teachers, 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐃𝐚𝐲!

Please be advised that 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲 is temporarily closed due to structural damage. Based on the initial assessment, the estimated cost of repair is 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 ₱𝟏 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧.

The road is a 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝, and discussions with the private companies currently using the road regarding its repair and maintenance 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐲𝐞𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

For the safety of everyone, we are closing the affected portion until the necessary repairs can be undertaken.

When you first ran for SK, many of you committed 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞. If naa paka sa imong position karon and you are still actively serving, salamat kay nisobra paka sa kung unsay imong gi commit.

But kahibalo pud ko na since you have been elected, daghan na nausab.

I fully understand na some of you were still students when you started. Today, many of you are already professionals. Some may now have better opportunities, new responsibilities, or a different direction in life.

So if you feel that you can no longer give the time and commitment that your position deserves, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞. 𝐌𝐲 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧.

And if you believe that it is time to give another young person the opportunity to step up, then I will respect that decision.

To tell you the truth, i have known sk officials na they are ready to resign already kay ingon sila okay na daw. Naka serbisyo na silag dugay. So uban nasab hatagan higayon so respetohon nako ilang decision.

𝐓𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬,

I also ask all of you to honestly check if we are still committed to serving our people.

Sometimes, when we stay in a position for a long time, 𝐦𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝 𝐧𝐚 𝐭𝐚. 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐧𝐚 𝐭𝐚.

But we have to constantly remind ourselves why we were elected in the first place.

When people have concerns, kamo ang ilang unang duolan.

When there is an emergency, kamo ang expected nga motabang.

When there are barangay activities and assemblies, your presence matters.

Because our people don't only need officials who are present on paper.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦.

If imong pagtuo karon you can no longer give the time, energy, and commitment that public service requires, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞.

And giving that person the opportunity may be your way of continuing to serve your community.

𝟏𝟐:𝟒𝟕 𝐏𝐌. Nag plano plano nako daan ug akua unsaon ang distribution sa bugas.

Kay at 1:00 PM, nagpatawag ko ug meeting sa kapin 30 ka tawo para magplano unsaon nato pag-release sa bugas para sa 3,000+ ka households.

Usahay, dili kaayo nato mahatagan ug importansya ang sistema sa distribution. Pero para sa akoa, seryoso kaayo ni. 𝐃𝐢𝐥𝐢 𝐠𝐲𝐮𝐝 𝐤𝐨 𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐠-𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐤 𝐬𝐚 𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐚 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐭𝐚𝐰𝐨.

Katungdanan nato isip gobyerno ang paghatag sa mga programa ug assistance nga para sa katawhan. Pero dili pasabot nga tungod kay assistance ni, okay ra nga tibuok adlaw sila maghulat ug maglinya.

Kay pirmi gyud nato hinumduman:

“𝐒𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐚𝐰.”

Ang oras nga nasayang sa pagpila, oras pud na unta para sa trabaho, negosyo, uma, pamilya, o pagpanginabuhi.

Mao nang before every major distribution, magplano gyud ta. Asa ang entrance, asa ang exit, kinsa ang assigned, unsa ang flow, ug unsaon nato nga dali ug hapsay ang proseso.

We planned to have the program at 𝟖:𝟑𝟎 𝐀𝐌.
We started at 𝟖:𝟏𝟎 𝐀𝐌.

And by 𝟗:𝟑𝟎 𝐀𝐌, we were able to clear the gym.
