Today, I celebrate another year of life not because everything has been perfect, but because I've made it through every storm that tried to break me.
The past years have taught me that life is not always easy. There were days filled with uncertainty, disappointment, heartbreak, and challenges that felt heavier than I could carry. There were moments when I questioned myself, my strength, and my purpose. Some battles were fought silently, with only God knowing the tears I cried and the struggles I endured.
But despite it all, I'm still here.
I'm still standing. Still growing. Still believing that better days are ahead.
As I turn 37 today, I choose gratitude over regret. I am thankful for every lesson learned, every obstacle overcome, every person who stayed, and even those who left, because they helped shape the person I am today. The struggles didn't defeat me; they strengthened me. The setbacks didn't stop me; they prepared me.
I may not be where I want to be yet, but I am proud of how far I've come. I am proud of the woman who refused to give up, even when life became difficult. I am proud of the courage it took to keep moving forward when no one saw the battles behind my smile.
This year, I pray for peace in my heart, strength in my spirit, and blessings that align with God's perfect timing. I pray for healing from the things I don't talk about and for a happiness that doesn't depend on circumstances, but comes from faith, hope, and trust in Him.
To my kids, Ate Sha2x and Zy, my nephews and nieces, and especially my sister, who has been with me throughout this journey, thank you so much for your love, support, and encouragement. You have been my strength during difficult times and my source of joy during life's blessings.
To my husband, thank you for everything, I promise to love you! I will keep my wedding vows to you, for better or worse. I chose you when things were easy. I choose you now when things are complicated. And I will choose you tomorrow when things are whatever they're going to be.
To everyone who greeted me and remembered my birthday, thank you so much! ❤️
