CHRIST'S VICTORY: A Journey of Love, Hope, Mercy, and Power

In In these past two days we have been Lone with the Lord in His suffering. Now we want to be one with Him in His resurrection. The dark night of His death and burial is still on us, but the bright dawn of His resurrection is about to envelop us in all its splendor with its unprecedented victory over death and sin. โœจ

โ€œThis is the night,
when once you led our forebears, Israelโ€™s children,
from slavery in Egypt
and made them pass dry-shod through the Red Sea.

This is the night
that with a pillar of fire
banished the darkness of sin.

This is the night
that even now, throughout the world,

Today a great silence reigns on earth, a great silence and a great stillness. A great silence because the King is asleep. the earth trembled and is still because God has fallen asleep in the flesh and he has raised up all who have slept ever since the world began. . . He has gone to search for Adam, our first father, as for a lost sheep. Greatly desiring to visit those who live in darkness and in the shadow of death, he has gone to free from sorrow Adam in his bonds and Eve, captive with him - He who is both their God and the son of Eve. . . "I am your God, who for your sake have become your son. . . I order you, O sleeper, to awake. I did not create you to be a prisoner in hell. Rise from the dead, for I am the life of the dead."

By the expression "He descended into hell", the Apostles' Creed confesses that Jesus did really die and through his death for us conquered death and the devil "who has the power of death" (Heb 2:14).

As we meditate on the Lord Jesus' suffering and death, we see both the destructive power of sin and the immensity of His love. Sin wounds, kills, and destroys-even touching the Sinless One. Love, instead, heals, gives life, and restores. Today, Holy Thursday, we gather to celebrate the institution of the ministerial priesthood and the Holy Eucharist two Sacraments that uniquely make present Christ's unfailing love for humanity. Jesus Christ became "๐—š๐—ผ๐—ฑ-๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต-๐˜‚๐˜€" at the Incarnation; at the Last Supper, he remained "๐—š๐—ผ๐—ฑ-๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต-๐˜‚๐˜€" by commanding His apostles to repeat what He had done. In the ordained minister, and in the Bread and Wine that become our Food and Drink, ๐˜Š๐˜ฉ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ต ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ถ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง๐˜ง๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ง ๐˜ง๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ญ๐˜บ ๐˜ฑ๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜จ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜จ๐˜ฆ. Since the beginning of Lent until now we have prepared our hearts by penance and charitable works. In following Jesus, it is demanded of us to have a true faith in God that cannot be hindered by opposition and misunderstanding in coming to the help of those who suffer. True faith means being the hearts and hands of Jesus so that through us he may continue to do good to the people of today.

Today is ๐™‡๐™–๐™š๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ง๐™š ๐™Ž๐™ช๐™ฃ๐™™๐™–๐™ฎ, which means ๐™Ž๐™ช๐™ฃ๐™™๐™–๐™ฎ ๐™ฉ๐™ค ๐™ง๐™š๐™Ÿ๐™ค๐™ž๐™˜๐™š. It offers us a pause from Lenten penance to express hope and joy as Easter approaches. The rose-colored vestments are symbols of impending Easter joy and God's mercy shown in Jesus giving sight to a man born blind.

We know from life how precious water is. When we are thirsty, there is nothing like a drink of fresh water. In today's Gospel, Jesus uses the image of bubbling water to illustrate the eternal life that he is offering us. ๐˜‘๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ถ๐˜ด ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ค๐˜ข๐˜ฏ ๐˜ด๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ง๐˜บ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ณ๐˜ด๐˜ต ๐˜ง๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ, ๐˜ง๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ท๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ.
